Bitcoin is king in the electronic money market. There is no Altcoin that is independent of the value of Bitcoin.BTC has the power to manipulate the electronic money market. All Altcoin are affected by the price of Bitcoin and the Altcoin not value is proportional to the Bitcoin price.

This year the whole market follows Bitcoin price. There're only few coins that continue to be stable or grow even when BTC falls. When BTC domination grows then most of altcoins fall while BTC continues to grow.

Probably the price effect of the rising bitcoin price is very influential to altcoin price because altcoin price refers to bitcoin price if bitcoin price drops then all altcoin price will also drop because the bitcoin is the parent of all available altcoin.

Absolutely right. Not on Altcoin alone, the price of Bitcoin affects all coins. Bitcoin is a barometer of all coins. Whatever happens to Bitcoin will happen to all coins. Bitcoin is already considered the leader of all coins. All the coins follow. Bitcoin has become the king of all coins.

There are several factors that influence the price link between bitcoin and altcoin. But not necessarily when bitcoin rises then altcoin rises, or vice versa. Bitcoins price is very important to altcoins, because it can affect the price markets of altcoins. The main reason for these relations is, bitcoin has it’s own market. You can buy alts using bitcoin that is why there are effects on alts price when BTC price moved.Bitcoin price always give a big effect to altcoin value, if the price of bitcoin going down, the price of altcoin will going down too. On the otherhand, if bitcoin price going up, altcoin price will go up too. So it's all about the bitcoin price, not only for ETH but other altcoins too.

Hey everyone,
How strongly Altcoin value relate to bitcoin price. Can we know the condition of ETH/BTC ratio by analyzing BTC/USD value ?
The price of BTC and altcoins is very strongly interconnected now. It can be noticed easily according to any schedules. When BTC has fallen in January all market has departed together with BTC down. Therefore ETH won't be able to reach the maximum if BTC stands still. |

to my knowledge Etereum follow the price of Bitcoin if I think Ethereum can not be separated from the influence of Bitcoin because Ethereum like silver and Bitcoin like gold.
Now bitcoin still has a large price dominance over the rest of the crypto currency. This is due to the fact that bitcoin has a very high level of capitalization compared to the total capitalization of the crypto currency. If bitcoin capitalization falls to a general level, then it will lose its dominance and will no longer dictate its price line of behavior in the market to the rest of the crypto currency. |

Well, naturally that's going to be the case when they're almost always denominated in BTC. But overall the crypto market is going to share some correlation for the most part. Perhaps that will change in the future as it gets more separate and differentiated. But for now it seems to be strongly linked. |

Altcoin was always depended the market price in bitcoin because this is what they made just to promote and also this is one of the major coin in this site that has higher rate value in the market, when the price increases it will directly effective to altcoin also but I hope prices in bitcoin not to collapse At lower rate because every coin will affected. |

I Think yes, bitcoin price always affects the altcoins prices because the value of those altcoins always depends on the price of btc. Investors always depends on the price of btc , so if the bitcoin price is up, theres always a tendency that the altcoins tends to go up also.

the value of altcoin to bitcoin is the same. when the bitcoin price against U $ D rises, the altcoin price against BTC will go up. but if looking at the value of USD. then it gets bigger. because the price increase becomes 2x. the price goes up from BTC and USD. |
