There was a bug in the code and new coins were suddenly created. it's fixed now but maybe someone has to compile a new mac wallet to fix the bug, too.

500k is an approximation, all good.

If you go to block explorer you can notice that from block 9249 the total amount of coin was always 498999,99996251....and also after the bug the decimal were always the same

Does the new wallet not introduce a mandatory tx fee? I was hoping it would.

Faucet should be back up later today .... lots of transactions pending confirmation in the wallet. ~200 Blocks or so.

uhm no. as you may recall i was stuck on tx fees before this all happened. it stands to reason that since i have been fixing the bug, that i have no made any additional progress on fees.

Today I will continue working on fees, and cleaning up some incorrect wording in the client. The 0.8.8 patch seems to have gotten us running again. With a little luck the new fork will exceed the old chain by the end of the day. The next wallet update will force all old clients to disconnect. Thanks to everybody that supported PMC through the crisis. I will continue to improve the Premine network.

Ok ok I'm not a graphic but now, in a moment of free time, I've done this logo.

I know that there is just another but something more stylized could be better(in my opinion).

obviously take it like an idea and not an official suggestion

Thanks. I appreciate you wanted the bug fixed asap, and I agree it was the best thing to do. Now we can focus on features.

Small request; any chance we can get the larger coin logo in the wallet client? Some other coins do this on the left hand side underneath your balance. It looks very nice, and would like great in the wallet.

Will this latest wallet also disconnect when the mandatory tx fee is in place?
