Is it risky to buy not top 100 crypto currencies?

There are some very good and promising new coins in the crypto world that are in no way near the first 100. Most times, it is good to research into some of these coins, so as to buy them when they are cheap and when they have not yet got much popularity.

I don't think so. Even if some project is in top 100, it doesn't mean that investing in it is not risky.

There are Altcoins that have very high potential and are not in the top 100 . Even buying into the top 100 is a risk .

I never look in what place the project on capitalization is. I consider it not that criterion to which it is worth paying attention. New projects which have the huge potential for growth hardly will have a huge capitalization as at coins from a top 100. Therefore if the project good, then isn't necessary are afraid to invest!

The risk is always present, even in the top 10. You need to study the market well then conduct an analysis of a certain coin and you will have a chance.

Yes, I think the risk of investing in small cryptocurrencies is very large. They are at risk of death at any time. You may lose all your investment overnight, so this is not a good choice. The market is still at a low point. Therefore, the top ten cryptocurrencies in the investment market will be a better choice.

Yes, you are right. As far as I am concerned, I only invest in it to see if it has potential, not to look at its ranking. In my opinion, all currencies are dangerous, not limited to the top 100, as long as it can Bringing profits, I am not afraid of danger.

Actually, risky or not it depends on the coins. Each coin has different concept. When the coin has an interesting and promising concept for the future technology (moreover with products), I think that it doesn't matter to buy the coin outside of 100 top lists. For, now many promising ICO tokens are offered also.

Just to remind that even if the project looks good but the 24h volume is really low below 100k dollars then it's kinda wasting money, you dont need coin that have low liquidation instead choose the ones that have quite high volume
but also  a promising project, theres plenty of them below top 100 crypto but proven to be a good coin.

Yes it is, even in the top 10 still its risky ,theres a big chance to lose your money,investing coins that are not so popular is not good idea, it has higher risk ,,,it is necessary to do a certain research before investing.

Its very risky because they might be delisted in future for low volume trading on exchange which can make you loose your investment.

After the rally of bitcoin price this month, all the top 100 altcoins price were creeping behind. As the price of btc stabilised a bit, there is going to be opportunities for big increase in price for the alts. If you are not risk adverse, and ready to gamble, I would suggest to invest a bit for bigger rewards.

Bitcoin, and Ethereum are much safer for sure, than these small coins. But they also have more room to grow in a bull market.

This is new market and it is not stable yet. There are a lot of risky but first 100 coins risky, less than other coins but I think you should focus the good projects, not look just market cap

Though it might be a bit risky because some of these coin end up being one of the potential coins after sometime but I think it is better to buy coin which you know is very promising and also have a very good community and is among the best coin because you are sure of the potentials other than buying a coin which you are not sure of the future.

I would not say that this is a big risk. Everything depends on the token, now it can be 200, and in a couple of months it's 50th place. That's what happened to me)

I think its not that risky. Right now all the altcoins are at risk though but once it becomes the main stream then alot of altcoins will become very profitable so its time to collect as many altcoins as possible. Don't even look if they are in the top 100 or not but they will be worthy in the future..
