Ethereum Name Service Returns For Relaunch
May 4, 2017, marks the relaunch for the Ethereum Name Service (ENS), which was plagued by bugs on its initial launch forcing it back into development. ENS team member Chris Remus, on a Medium blog post, announced the relaunch.
When active on the Ethereum Mainnet, an auction process will distribute ENS names onto the '.eth' domain. The blind auction process is fully described on Github, a site used by developers.
Those who wish to register domain names will have an eight week period during which the names will become available, and users will be able to look up when specific domain names can be bid upon.More

Will it be like the dot.com name buying frenzy?

Ethereum Price Hits New All-Time High Led by South Korea, Ripple & Litecoin Surge
Ethereum has maintained its upward trend and momentum over the past seven days, recording a staggering $3.7 bln increase in market cap, from $5.7 bln to $9 bln. On May 5, Ethereum price established its new all-time high at $101 as the demand from both traders and institutional investors surged.
There are three major factors that have supported the increase in Ethereum price: widespread adoption in South Korea, satisfactory performance from the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) and the emergence of innovative decentralized applications based on the Ethereum network.More

Its not ethereum you bought, you bought a shit coin named very smilar, what you have is ethereum classis and is only a copy past of ethereum minus developers, minus adoption... you probably got confused. But now you know and you can buy some real ethereum.

I also agreed with you ETC has no future just copy cat model only ETH is real one which has great future. Even I missed the train but have some tokens in reserve so very soon will convert these one into ETH again.

The amount of price it increased from its ICO price is indeed insane. Even after the problems that it had with the hard fork and the emergence of ETC, it still increased its price due to the backing of institutional investors. Many early adopters of this coin should be happy now and celebrating especially when it hit the ATH of $101. I missed the train for this coin but I'm wondering if it is still good to buy at its current price ($92 in Polo as of the moment)?

Can anyone tell me when Ethereum pos starts and will it stake if I keep them on exchange or should I need to keep them on MEW for staking?

I do not believe that Ethereum PoS will be the same easy going PoS that we're used to from other coins.

From my understanding there are penalties involved if you attempt to attack the network via staking, etc... I think that you might want to reconsider letting a third party stake on your behalf.

I would like to withdraw my ETC and ETH from exchance to my paper wallets.

There is just something strange. This is ETC paperwallet generator.
https://classicetherwallet.com/#generate-wallet

It demands first to create a password and write it down. And addition to print the just genererated paper wallet, it demands to download and save two files

JSON File (unencrypted)
and
Keystore/JSON File (Encrypted · Mist/Geth Format · Recommended)
________________________

In the case of ETH
https://www.myetherwallet.com/

This demands also to create first a password, write it down and before printing paper wallet download one file.
Keystore File (UTC / JSON)
________________________

I do not understand. Why these passwords and files? I have not found other cryptos to have such. Could those files to be simply printed on paper? They seem to be just text files. Or has they to be to stored on USB stick?
__________________________

This is ETH paper Wallet generator.
https://ryepdx.github.io/ethaddress.org/#/

This I understand. It is like other cryptos paper wallets. No passwords, no files to be downloaded and saved. Is there available this kind of generator for ETC also?

__________________________

To check that I have access to my paper wallets, the only way is that I import the private keys to the online wallet?
_______________________

When I start online Ethereum wallet it starts synchronizing from the beginning of the blockchain. What is the way to save already done synchronization?

I'll increase my ether stash now at $7 and when it gets at $98 I'll sell.

shorting both eth and etc now after watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUUVlatCvp0&t=447s

its not just fud right? I saw how quick the department of justice killed several poker sites and stuff (ub/ap and fulltilt). If legal actions beginn against vitalik and co. ethereum will be worthless

given that i think its way overpriced. would consider buying at 25-30 range again.

anyone jumping off to? I had 10% of my networth in eth from the very beginning...

I also have same thought because much hard to make money from big whales they just spread the FUD about any great project. But I think now this train has been passed and we look over the next project which has potential.
