The selling pressure could reduce the price temporially. But in the long term, the price will rise.

More the end of the ICOs frenzy of the last 6 weeks IMHO.
As a precedent post pointed out, some ICOs are scams who sold their ETH right after the end of the auction period which inevitably pushes the price lower.

yes, lots of icos paying with ether. these turn out to be scams and they dump all the eth as soon as they can. the price dives. but in the end ethereum will be one of the few still standing strong. ths is in the same league as bitcoin. it's a long term holder for sure

150 Members: Indian Government, Mastercard Join Enterprise Ethereum Alliance

The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance is revealing its newest members. As with previous announcements, entrants are divided between legacy institutions and startups building on the ethereum blockchain. Included on the list is Mastercard, Cisco Systems, Scotiabank, Loyyal Corporation and QIWI Blockchain Technologies, among 29 other firms.

But the member that perhaps stands out most in this latest batch of companies is the government of the rapidly growing Andhra Pradesh state in India, the first state government outside the US to join the alliance.

The special chief secretary and IT advisor to the state's chief minister, J.A. Chowdary, described in a statement the government's ambition to leverage the membership as a way to turn the region into a financial technology tech hub.

Mist on Windows: how to import last transactions and contracts to new host?

I've given up on Github as these reports are never answered/resolved.

I've built a new computer (all ssd) and copied the ethereum blockchain directory tree to the new host and installed mist there. When running mist with the wallet keystore, the blockchain is all synched and wallet balance also correct. But the transactions history is blank and so are the contracts.

With all other crypto-coin wallets I see the same transactions in all my wallet installations, but with mist each installation is behaving as individual, disconnected and unique istances, apart from the wallet balance which is correct.

I don't understand how contracts and transactions are retrieved/stored by mist and why they are not showing up in mist when the entire blockchain and keystore is copied and in sync on local host.

How do I transfer transactions and contracts from one computer to another?

Hi rosmo01.

Did you try to copy Mist's application data from your old installation to the new one (which is not the same than copying the blockchain data)?
You can open the folder where the app data is stored by clicking on Mist on Accounts > Backup > Application data.

You can also have a look on this issue on Github.

If you still don't have your answer, then you should ask on the official subreddit where I'm sure plenty of people are skilled enough to help you.

Ethereum users and miners are well aware of how the mining difficulty is going up at an alarming rate. Mining Ether will eventually become -virtually- impossible thanks to the difficulty bomb. One way to counter this problem is by switching over to proof-of-stake, which is what the developers are currently developing. However, a new EIP proposes to delay the difficulty bomb for another 18 months.
