To be honest and without bias, I think that alt coins have it better than bitcoins. This is because alt coins have a lot of tokens to choose from and every one of them have different features that are just as capable or let alone, better than bitcoins, in that aspect. Given enough money, I'd buy a lot of alt coins and minimal bitcoins. I just think there's no more room for bitcoins to grow in its current state.

I would prefer doing both, actually, I am holding Bitcoin in my wallet for over 5 months now and will continue to hold it for long-term. I have some altcoins too that have potentials, and most often every moment I continuously monitoring their price movement so as to decide whether it's still worth holding them or not.

I can prefer to you the bitcoin it is good for the long term to hold and probably it gives more profit because bitcoin has a small quantity in the market so there is possibility to increase the price rapidly anytime in the market much better in bitcoin.

I think you should consider bitcoin as safe house as it can save you from all the losses all the time. So see the Bitcoin always gains more weightage when it comes to buying which coins? The bitcoin shovel be invested more than 30% of your total investment into the crypto currency. I usually only buy Bitcoin but if there are any projects which are new and taking heads up then its always great to get them on board. For example, REMME coin is their, IOST, SCL, JNT etc.

  Investment is always dependent on our choices of coins we have for investment. Crypto to ALT COINS can't be compared it may have a lot of simelarity but still it is on the investors choices. Bitcoin price may go up and down but the price value of ALT COINS may goes ups in different way as to Botcoin.

Altcoin multiply is also capable to generate more profit. because with have more Altcoin will be quite able to boost profits.
 so is tantamount to supporting the progress of future coins to earn larger profits.

Is this question based off overall performance or near future performances? Bitcoin will lead in the multiplication factor for overall performance. At one point Bitcoin was worth almost nothing. Since we have seen 1000 X's returns with Bitcoin. I do not predict any coins to ever reach those kinds of returns. But I also do not see BTC climbing much further than 40k usd. Other newer coins do have a chance at those kinds of gains. So future performance I think Bitcoin will loose, but overall without it the altcoins are useless, for trade value that is, as you trade for either BTC OR ETH OR USDT

If you want to store your crytpo long-term in a stable store of value (not so much today, except once the next bull market starts) put your money into bitcoin.

If you want to experience 10x to 10000x gains, then altcoins are where it is at.  Crypto is still a geeks' parade so all of us currently involved are in on the ground floor of a new paradigm of Internet money.

Depends on your investment strategy.
If you are an active trader, then I think you need altcoins.

You need to do your homework before picking your assets, there's a lots of opportunities but you have to be more knowledgeable because this type of investment accompanied by risk, taking your advantage knowing what assets to buy and hold would be the best way to succeed, just always think of
