FYI. I just downloaded both win files from website and scanned it on virustotal. Came back 0/50
http://download.mooncoin.info/

Not sure about your file, maybe check the hash and the download location before spreading FUD?

YUP! I AM SPREADING FUD! Look at the file I scanned, and also there were a bunch of random posts that were posted seconds of someone pointing out the virus and I was only lucky to catch glimpse of the virus warning, if you don't believe me look at the part where someone said there was virus ...I am merely warning people of this and the suspicious activity of "some" members to try and hide the virus warning.

I wouldn't be surprised the dev already changed the download link with a clean file...I scanned my wallet and I saw the virus warning, so you can believe it or not, just giving everyone a heads up.

I was not the person who pointed out the virus, I only thought it was the right thing to do to warn as much people as possible...

IF ANY OTHER FORUM MEMBER CAN SCAN THEIR MOONCOIN WALLET AND CONFIRM PLEASE DO! I AM MERELY GIVING EVERYONE A WARNING BEFORE THOSE DEV(S) TRIED TO COVER UP A BOTNET IN THE WALLET FROM OFFICIAL SITE

I believe it's because it has that miner built in. cgminer gets flagged by my antivirus program too.

most of the coin qt's get flagged. Sometimes gives false positive, better to check it yourself and see if it is doing something strange.

is it something to worry about or not ?

I just googled the name used the xpajkiller to scan system, better safe than sorry.
IMO there should be no excuse for releasing even a wallet than contain anything remotely similar to a virus in it.

As I said before, I am only here to inform, you can take it as any other news, I just thought I would share this as it could be everyone's concern.

....funny how normally people would think the updated wallet is all good and well from the official site, and overlook having to do a virus scan on it.

from kasper lab officical site...probably not as safe as the mooncoin wallet Cool

And while you're at it, check the latest bitcoin-qt and dogecoin-qt wallets and see the exact same false positives.

General rule of thumb, if Malwarebytes doesn't flag it, it's generally OK.

Look I tested this idiots claim.  the moooncoin wallet does *NOT* contain a virus, and MMos before you go accusing people of including viruses, do more than a simple scan.. at least have some proof.  The only proof I have right now is that MMos is a fin Retard.
