The pull request you did had some small issue which Mikhail was going to fix before he committed your request. I will find the log of the conversation.

Mikhail himself believed (and he was always normally sceptical) that there is no reason Huntercoin's value can not approach that of bitcoin. And even if it was, the game would still be playable (although he was not a gamer).

I thought about it more that night, and simulated it in my mind. The gameplay would change considerably, but it would still play and be even more intense. Probably the amount of people on the map would decrease, the risks would be higher but the gain would be higher still.

Of course this is just dreams and fantasy atm... but who knows.

Yes I found myself some issues (memory leaks) and fixed them, if you send me the log I'll try to fix the rest. And my offer to help still stands, let me know what is needed and I'll try my best... At the moment I'm focused to adding new features (name search, customizable layout), but I'll try to work on something of the list you posted before.

Regarding the huntercoin potential, we all know is great and the value could be close to the bitcoin's one, but to reach this goal HUC needs a good infrastructure and a continuous development and advertising.
The services that accept huntercoins are still a few, and without them the value cannot increases above some limit.

I intend to continue working on Huntercoin. And it will be the birth of things you probably cannot imagine. Huntercoin is not just about a game.

I have done a Press Release yesterday, which should go out this week. I used a premium company. Huntercoin's problem has been that no one even knows it exists, they soon will.
I was hoping to get refunded some of this cost from the pre-allocated bounty. This bounty is unfortunately no more. I also paid the last bounties out of my own coins as I did not know the fate of Mikhail. The reason Mikhail kept the bounties was because I did not want him to send me the privkey (for the genesis block) over the communication we was using, so I just had him send the bounties on demand.

This is the plan atm :


Main Issues:

1. Fix a Crash with the daemon - the daemon can crash once every couple of hours (a bitcoin dev is looking into it atm) - for now exchanges/pools have been auto restarting the crashed daemon. The QT works fine, so I believe this isn't a major issue - maybe a small mistake in the code (although may be a pain to find). I have the backtraces.
2. Improve performance of syncing (and can be ported to namecoin)
3. Fix pauses of the client - This is either related to the above, or possible QT issue (as per community member in this thread).
OR
4. Stop progression of improving the qt for "playing the game", and use External Game interfaces, such as MithralMans.

also small gui fix, should take 5 minutes for a good coder, anyone want to do?
Add arrows where the team names are, so many names can be added (so the map does not get smaller). This functionality is already there but for some reason does not display (it's possible the expansion of this dialog area stops the arrows from showing).

My end goal is to create a centralized server of which Players (harvesters) will be able to play in:

1. Browser
2. Iphone/Ipad
3. Android

I already have a team who are waiting for me to go ahead with this, but I was waiting till everything had settled down. I may need extra help from some/a cryptocurrency security experts (PM if interested).

This will be a paid for service...

The advantage for players will be a smooth client, no download, login anywhere (work/home) and play (work?) on practically any device.

One of the reasons I had Mikhail add the reward address was originally for this purpose. So we do not need to store any coins, only those for creating new characters (to limit liability) - characters can be created off server and transferred to further limit hacks (and loss of coins).
2FA will be required to change the reward address. People can set an exchange as the reward address, or their encrypted home wallet.

Of course the other advantages is for the savings wallet and for Guilds/Groups who want to "pool" their HUCs.

As I answered you in my thread, my client version is not more stable than the official one, has just some additional features. Try to redownload the blockchain

Just a suggestion here, and there may be a good reason why it's not already done....why not kill off hunters who don't move for a period of time? Say 2 or 3 days? More coins to collect, less hunters, and we don't close the client expecting all our guys to be alive if we leave them out there anyway do we? Maybe only hunters carrying no HUC would do it.
The map's full of stationary avatars, they could be coins.
2 good incentives to play, to keep your hunters and there will be more coins to collect from dead players?

hey there, daily update (ok, maybe i miss yesterday update so not really a daily one )

i've done what i think could be useful to explore cell(tile) detail
once you click on a cell, the cell got highlighted and in the "Cell Info" window you got coordinate info and hunters in it, divided nicely based on colour
i will add even a "total coin value" of the cell, or something similar, i've yet to collet info about that

oh, the "Cell Info" window behave differently depending if it's collapsed or expanded
when it's expanded, you see detail about selected(clicked) cell (image above), while if it's collapsed, this is how this appear (image below), and the title show the cell coordinate under your mouse cursor.

i forgot another feature i've done, here it is: i display last block chat messages on the map in this way!




the problem is that i can't know on who to put the chat balloon because system says just the player, and spamming balloons all over hunter's player isn't good, so i ended up placing on the general
and in this pic you can see that now behind the hunter name, in the cell info, there is the loot (if any) he's carrying

Really hard to say, i'm working very much (like if it was a job) but i've already a job and a little daughter (1 month old) that hopefully is keeping me awake so i'm programming at night
but there is much more to do before consider it usable, because right now i'm "only" reading data from deamon and i didn't command/create hunters yet

i keep adding features but i really don't have a clue about a date, anyway i think that soon i'll release a first version "for fun" to see what people think about usability and features, meanwhile i'll work on the "active" part of the game, create/move/destroy and so on
