If you log into cryptsy, go to any "view deposit" page for any coin and replace the number at the end with 114, you get to the same page that is shown on the screenshot - with HUC as the coin title. I've personally verified this a couple of times. Who knows when they're actually going to roll it out - although the others shown (darkcoin and mintcoin) before are already up and running.

While I'm not in-game and do something else with my computer, I always run file huntercoind.exe to catch-up the latest blocks updates

but, after I download cosmetic update (expandable map and then blocks destination) - i cant run huntercoind.exe anymore.

example error shown on db.log

Unacceptable log file C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Huntercoin/database\log.0000000709: unsupported log version 16
Invalid log file: log.0000000709: Invalid argument
PANIC: Invalid argument

It is a great fucking coin and the merge mining is a HUGE deal. People don't understand how huge that is. HUC has some serious serious potential.

I think you're right there. Merged mining is a bit hard for a lot of people to wrap their heads around. But it basically just makes it free money for any miner that wants to include it. The current hashrates could go much, much higher, and make it easily one of the top secured coins.

A few large Dogecoin pools adding Huntercoin could boost it immensely in a very short period.

Let's hope some more pools pick it up.

sync using Wallet app (huntercoin-qt) is ok

I use huntercoind when not playing and for block updates only

Perhaps. I'm not so sure about that though.

The vast majority of coins trade in BTC, LTC, and DOGE, with some also trading in XPM. Some Chinese exchanges trade against the CNY, but they aren't relevant for most non-Chinese traders.

Very few coins trade against fiat. The obvious exception is BTC-e where several coins trade against the USD (EUR and RUR as well) in volume. (Yes, a couple others, but not in volume.)

I have a bit of a hard time seeing coins tied to USD (or fiat) when the vast majority of trading is against the BTC.
