FAIR PLAY? it is seem that is not correct. because in this game we can play multiple colors at once, create many clones as many as we want as long as we have HUC .. new players and also people that came with MMO gaming mindset soon enough will find their self as an easy target from veteran players. there lazy veteran players making hundred HUC just by sitting and dating with their out-of-colors characters near the base, targeting honest harvester coming home with hard earned HUC. In MMORPG - this called metagaming behavior - taking advantage with out-of-char. an unethical way of playing that will hurt the game balance soon or later. The only lazy thing I can see in your description is the common practice of players not giving two shits about their fellow color members. I should not be able to march a lone general inside the spawn walls. If your team does not act like a team then consider changing colors instead of making a new forum account to cry on. |

Now this is even worse, the name creation transaction remain black, but a new transaction got confirmed with weird name and I lost 1HUC:
Status: 55 confirmations
Date: 2/7/2014 22:01
Name operation: name_new: 41cebeb20bd643b258e9b98644b4e57ff4580fce
Debit: -1.005 HUC
Net amount: -1.005 HUC
Transaction ID: 021ed241aaddb5c374f54dbe72a4cc04ae18ed090d37dcb9f17db78f700de4b4
Although the quote above is from 21 days ago, I had a transaction like that by creating a new hunter, enter name and proceed further but clicking cancel (by mistake during a freeze) before choosing a color. And since it was already in the blockchain, I couldn't delete it. |

This is the petition I've sent to cryptsy. I think maybe more people should send petition/request to them for adding Huntercoin! My 2 cents! ----------------------------------- Please consider adding Huntercoin to cryptsy. The coin is really innovative. It's the first game coin in the crypto world. It can have fairer distribution as people in less developed countries without much computing power can manually work to earn coins (game playing). Also it has one of the most loyal communities that I've met in crypto currencies. Besides merge mining (which is done together with mining bitcoin and litecoin), the human players are very loyal to the game and the coin. They may be silent and not talking much but they are sticking to the game, mostly due to the fact that it is not easy to switch to another game (like switching your mining power to hundreds of other coins). The coin was suffering from way under-marketing as the main team is mostly hardcore programmers and developers. Also the death of one of the coders sets the team back as they need to find a replacement (which they have found), hence not much time and energy for marketing effort. By accepting it for trading on cryptsy, it would reinforce cryptsy's image of always being a top-notch innovative and the best alternate crypto-currency trading platform, not to mention that you would attract new accounts of huntercoin players who wish to sell the coins, as well as all other traders who wish to deal with huntercoin. It is a really great coin and certainly deserve a better recognition and much more widespread distribution. Because all of the above, I'm totally support the coin and strongly petition for cryptsy to accept the coin for trading on cryptsy. Thank you for considering my request. Because the sync of huntercoin is very long for non-SSD hardwares, 2 hours downloading for 24hours played. I thinks it's bad, our blockchain weigh 1,7GB in one month ! Downloading the blockchain from start take long time, maybe 60 hours... It's a big problem to attract new users.

not really (easily).. in the future when domob re-implements huntercoin onto libcoin, then maybe there can be some pruning.. also it's possible to prune the nameindexfull.dat file, now i believe. it is possible to make lite clients, and that's what we're planning, they will work in a centralized way.. |
