Now that players are piling up in huge piles, you can't see the playfield anymore in a lot of places. This is especially a problem when you want to be a specific number of squares from someone/something, but you cant see anything but a big mass of players and player names/balances. If the path-guide were at least always on top instead of going under players it would be a lot easier. If I try to move around in the bases right now, I just have to click, hit go, and hope that I clicked in the right area - the path-guides cannot be seen at all.

Anyone finding many bots? Got any insights on them?

I did not - have you?

If yes let us know.

Kind regards!

I noticed that going to the same square as a bot will cause it to move. However, you can walk past/through one, and they ignore you. That makes it then possible to walk past/through them and Destruct. If they adjust for every path like that, they'll never get anywhere.

Maybe we should start a pool for bounties that would go to devs that fix these bugs? Would you be willing to escrow such a thing snailbrain? I can put up at least 100 hucs to start it up.

been meaning to do this

This address (posted in OP) - all coins will go into bounties for dev work on Huntercoin (I will take none,) -- p.s. the last of the bugs are already being worked on atm..

I've had no problem withdrawing HUC from Poloniex.  Cryptsy has the tab for HUC up in their support section and a URL for deposits and such (don't use this yet.)

I'd say buy at Poloniex. I've tried using CryptoRush, but it's just wonky and near impossible to use. Really. It's just miserable. They've got a very screwed up ordering book system. Save yourself some pain and just buy at Poloniex.

I have been merged mining this with p2pool for quite some time, but have yet to find any blocks, despite that fact that I continue to find GRouPcoin blocks.

GRouPcoin is higher difficulty than huntercoin so I should be finding some huntercoin blocks by now presumably, even if half of its blocks are going to scrypt miners?

I was just thinking, what would be nifty is blockchain video explorer that let you replay some of those epic battles, like when you're pulling out 100 coins or racing for the crown, etc.

I just bought Huntercoin (yay!) at poloniex which is working well. I look forward to improving and promoting hunter with everyone but first things first.

When I try to play the game on qt it says

Name registration failed
Error: CheckTransaction failed for transaction created by
nameFirstUpdateCreateTx

How can I fix that?

Also if I enter the game I go in with and risk 1 coin right? not the whole balance I have in qt?

Cheers

I am not sure about the first question, it may be you are trying too long a name?

As for second question....each team costs 1.05 huc....that is all you will be risking for one team....but if you pick coins up in game they can easy be lost

Thats a bingo, I was using a name with 21 characters and getting that error I tried a name with 3 characters and it worked ok. So another thing for the devs to do list. If you have a character limit specifie it next to the name fieled or at least change the text of the error to "Name must bet xx characters or less" or something like that.

does every chat you send cost you money? if so how much?

really excited about this coin! lots of improvements should be coming soon

Also if I enter the game I go in with and risk 1 coin right? not the whole balance I have in qt?

Yes and no and kind of...

You do NOT risk the balance in your QT wallet. That is perfectly safe.

You do risk a portion of the coin you use to create a team, and you also spend a portion of it.

I'll walk through this a bit slow because some things aren't really very obvious...

The cost of a hunter team is 1 HUC. There is also a 0.005 (sometimes 0.01) tx fee.

Total cost **SO FAR** for 1 team = 1.005 HUC.

But, you can create many teams... So, # of teams x 1.005 HUC = total cost **SO FAR**.

Now, you run around, pick up coins, rob other players, and cash them in. Let's forget about those coins though.

And let's say you created 2 teams (a red and a yellow team) = 2.01 HUC.

And let's say you are finished playing, but don't want to leave your teams out there for people to kill. What can you do?

When a general is killed, he drops the initial coin that you used to get the team (1 HUC [the 0.005 tx fee went to miners]), but there's a 4% miner's tax whenever a general dies. So, generals effectively drop 0.96 HUC when they die.

Now, you can use one of your Red hunters (not your Red general) to kill your Yellow general, then pick up that 0.96 coins and cash them out.

So, those 2 teams cost you:

1.005 x 2 = 2.01 - 0.96 = 1.05 **SO FAR**

Where's the difference?

The difference so far is 1.05. We take out the value of the Red general (if you could cash him in, see below), 0.96, and

1.05 - 0.96 = 0.09

0.005 tx fees to create teams x 2 = 0.01
0.04 "death tax" from general dying x 2 = 0.08
Total tx fees & death taxes = 0.09

So, we've balanced the books there, but we still have a Red general that we've not cashed in...

The only way to get that 0.96 coins is to get a friend to collect it and give it back to you.

So, let's say that you do that...

You end up with... drum roll... 1.728 HUC. Not 1.92. There's a 10% "cash in" fee for the miners.

So, originally, you spent 2.01 HUC and you got back 1.728 HUC, or about 86% of your original stake (0.864 x 2 teams). 14% of it went to miners.

tl;dr

Your **cost** for 1 team is then 0.141 HUC if you can cash out your **last** general with the help of a friend. Your **risk** was 0.864 HUC for each team, because you can either recover that or not - it is never "spent".

snailbrain said

"undertaking the reimplementation of Namecoin onto Libcoin (and will then attempt the same for huntercoin) - this should give significant improvements."

What does this mean in non technical speak?
