Oh no, another glitch. Sad

ALL of the deposits were paid? And why did the round accept deposits past exactly two hours after the first deposit was accepted?

Because it's a pain in the ass to run a ponzi game like this, especially with new code.

He knows your IP addresses though, so let's all just send it back now, including the jackpot for the next 2 hour round.

I'm sure his server is now flat broke.

-Jonathan

I just got paid out 1.5 x3, and got sniped on the Jackpot at the end.. BOO.

Was that you, Cory?

-- mb300sd: where should I send my unearned winnings? also, sorry I broke the game.

God damn it, I'm setting up a copy of this on testnet to test everything with.. The updated code for the pot calculation didn't subtract from the pot every time a payment happened, causing a loop that paid everyone...

I'm going to stop changing stuff for a while... this gets really annoying. I fix 1 bug and cause a worse one...

Jonathan, I've got a 485x85 version, which seems to be the size you want.  I hope it works!

Damn, I didn't notice the 1% return.  That's kinda lame.   Huh

Best to go for the jackpot, then!  Grin

Thank all of you guys for being honest and sending back the messed up payouts. I'm pretty sure I have everything fixed now and I will not be touching live the code again unless someone finds a serious problem. Going to set up another copy of the site on the testnet to experiment with any changes.

I appreciate everyone bearing with all the issues. Remember that the entire codebase is only 2 days old!

Also.... TESTNET PONZI ANYONE?? No wins, no losses, just fun.

Hi, I'm going to make a massive jackpot game tomorrow (30/30 roi/jack). Is anyone willing to match my initial deposit of 5btc?  You are virtually guaranteed to be paid out (original massive jackpot game ended up with a 18btc jackpot).

I don't have any testnet coins..

I have a question..

Do you base the bet position on the time that it hit the bitcoin server on your end, or based on when your cron / scheduled job picks it up? it's especially important information for sniping jackpots.

thanks for all the awesome work!

All deposits and payments are inserted when a scheduled task runs, I don't know of any way to get events from bitcoind or I would have them inserted the moment they show up. Its polled an average of every 15 seconds, with randomness added intentionally to prevent anyone from knowing exactly when it will run.

Code:
void  timer_Elapsed(object sender, ElapsedEventArgs e)
{
.....
timer.Interval = new Random().Next(10000, 20000);
timer.Start();
}

Edit: Actually, I'm going to decrease this to an average of every 10 seconds...

Just restarted the database server.. Hope noone noticed.

Testnet copy online. Go grab the 115 TestCoin jackpot!

http://testnet.bitponzi.net/

Head over to the testnet faucet and grab 50 coins...

and I just mined 100 in the last half hour, lol

Note this copy can and will go offline and/or be reset at any time... All new development will be done on this version so theres no risk of real coins.
