Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Hello,

I like your game, but the stability of your server has prevented me, for the second time, to keep playing a game I was already in.  I guess it's a Windows box, which fails more than works.  This is what I'm getting when I try to access the round:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Host Not Configured to Serve Web Traffic

You've requested a page on a website (bitponzi.net) that is on the CloudFlare network. Unfortunately, the host web server does not appear to be configured to accept web traffic or serve web traffic. If you are the owner of this website, you should login to CloudFlare and change the DNS records for to resolve to a server configured to serve web traffic.

If you continue to experience this error, you may contact support. Please reference the following information in your message:

Timestamp: Sun, 18 Sep 2011 00:45:33 -0700
Your IP address: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
Requested URL: bitponzi.net/Round_Jackpot_Rush_MK6.aspx
Error reference number: 1004
Server ID: FL_20F5
Process ID: PID_1316331933.010-1-695794354
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have not only lost the oportunity to keep playing (and perhaps geting the ROI or wining the jackpot), but also lost the coins I had already sent before.  The first time, the server got back up just in time for me to get a send address to keep playing, which I did, but the coins were received by the server late, so that I lost also some more coins.

Shouldn't your server take into account those frequent failures and extend the duration of the rounds?  At least the ones which end during (or near) the down time period?

Its not the server at the moment, the internet connection has been having some issues. I suspect that my school has been working on the network because I also got messages about our email having outages. I'm going to see if I can get a backup connection up on 4G with automatic failover in the mean time to eliminate downtime.

I will post a message on the site whenever the server needs to go down, and schedule it for when no rounds are about to expire.

Let me know the address you sent those coins to and I will issue a refund.

That'd be great for your game.  Being up and down all the time doesn't make any good for it.

Let me know the address you sent those coins to and I will issue a refund.

I'll tell you in a private message the address I sent this time.  Last time I cannot check, since it's not possible to browse finished rounds anymore as before.

Thank you.

Haha.. hi ama. Coincidence finding you here. Thanks for the help in the newb section. Only reason I was there was to get access to this forum. Only got a small amount of bitcoins and the Ponzi site seems like a fun way to mess around with them until the currency is better established. So hi everyone, and if you want a nice small, safe (relatively speaking) investment, the Dwarf Bank is open for business Smiley

Hey No-Trevor!  Nice to see you again!

So, you needed me to find the "alternative clients" subforum for you, but you managed fine to find the gambling one?  Good luck with the ponzi, it's cool and enternaining.   Smiley

just followed the link on the ponzi site actually. Not looked at the alt clients yet, but looks like there's a lot!
Does the insert image button on these forums need a website address or a file?? The Ponzis seems to have gone quiet last couple of days Sad

Perhaps because it's a weekend and people are doing real things in real live?
Or perhaps because of the up and downs on the server connection?
Who knows...

bitcoinduit wasn't this quiet during weekends...
Also, let me bring your attention to
The DAILY MASSIVE JACKPOT http://bitponzi.net/Round_DAILY_MASSIVE_1.aspx
It has slipped to the bottom of the list but if you invest in it you stand a chance of getting the jackpot, which is the BIGGEST JACKPOT ON THE SITE right now. Cheesy
Especially since the weekend is very slow on bitponzi...

Well, I'm sure it'll liven up. At least I hope so, cuz unless a couple more deposits go into the Daily Massive I will lose my only coin (nudge nudge)  Cry
Oh well, at least my Dwarf bank is still open for business. Any dwarfs or people with dwarf size wallets (like me), invest today.  Shocked

Damn, I remember when I had a single coin D:
I'll invest in your dwarf bank with a bitcoin.
Also, a tip: you can claw your way back up with a combination of mining and high profit games (200% ROI comes to mind).

Oh!  Hopefully someone will go into the Daily Massive, the jackpot is  compelling.  Unfortunatelly, I can't afford to play on the big rounds, only in the small ones (0.1-0.25 or so).  So, I think I have to consider myself, well, my wallet at least, a dwarf too!

It's only intermittently down; if you refresh 5 minutes later it usually comes back up.
