i started a new round, but the cron is only updating every 5 minutes, so for payouts it will take 10 minutes per payout. its old style bitcoinduit, with a little jackpot going on. if you want, play this until bitponzi.net is fixed.

http://atmco.in - never mind..

Ugh I'm getting this sinking feeling about bitponzi.  Every hour down is one more lost visitor the next day.  Ponzi just died Sad

Nah.. It's not dead. But.. Ponzi games DO need ridiculous colors, clowns and generous hosts with enough time on their hands to maintain everything.

Seriously, you want to see? I mean if you're really that down.. I shut down bitcoinduit with ~100 uniques a day and pretty heavy betting volume.

Wait, what am I saying. No, I'd rather if mb300sd would open source and just let a few of us get it up and running, and leverage the API for beautiful multi language things.

Perhaps we should start a bounty for open sourcing it? I'm willing to contribute a bitcoin to such a bounty if I get my money out of DAILYMASSIVE3 first.

Anyone know if mb300sd has disappeared for long periods of time like this before?

24 really isn't that long. Life does have a tendency to interfere with online activities sometimes.

Still around.

I'm already cooking up some Disappearance Theories Wink
edit: That got me thinking.  The website is down.  Before this incident, the website had been up mostly and when it was down it went back up a few minutes later automatically, suggesting routine server maintenance.  The fact that the website was taken COMPLETELY down is rather intriguing, as I think even if he had problems IRL the website would remain up...  I may be reading too much into this but it seems more serious than server issues.
further edit: Oh no I have 18btc on his site Sad

Ugh..

Well the host he uses has a pretty tough TOS, so perhaps it did get taken down. It's also Friday, and he might have a plan. Maybe he lost everyone's Bitcoins playing poker. Either way, it'll sort out. Worst case, I'll hire a new web developer to reimplement Bitcoinduit v2, and narrow the set of options to include public bounty addresses, eroding time and the API piece needed to extend to other theme / language sites.

Oh, and I'll pay mb300sd's debt to you if he isn't able to.

Regards,
Jonathan

Wow, very generous of you, thanks!
The odd thing is that mb300sd lives in GMT-5 but the website was removed at 12:45am... which is midnight.  Would a host employee really wake up at midnight to remove sites?  Doesn't seem right.  I have complete confidence in mb300sd's intentions though, as he has dealt successfully on the Goods forum before.
edit: I wonder if the Tor address is working?
further edit: it isn't. https://md2cmwrfjvcyhgvx.tor2web.org/proxyg7n6l6m302/index.php?e=http_error&return=%2FDefault.aspx&p=YTozOntpOjA7czozOiI1MDMiO2k6MTtzOjE4OiJGb3J3YXJkaW5nIGZhaWx1cmUiO2k6MjtzOjA6IiI7fQ==

Alright guys relax... mb300sd will most likely be online in a couple of hours, because he typically simply disappears on Friday.  My estimate is that we're less than 5 hours away from bitponzi going back online.

BitPonzi is back online, and transferred to the VPS. It'll be a bit slower than it was, but hopefully more reliable.

This is my kind of luck when I go out of town.. fucking maintenance tripped over the power cord between the server rack and the UPS and didn't plug the damn thing back in. You'd think the loud clicking of 8 15K SCSI drives and lots of fans shutting off would give you a clue you fucked up, but no...they didn't even bother to plug it back in.

Anyways, I added 24 hours to all the deposit/round/expiration times, so it should be exactly as it was last night when it went offline.

With my luck, I'll have perfect uptime again on my server until I put something else important on it... Seems to always be up except for when I need it to be.

Added 1 more hour to the times so people have a chance to see this post.

I'd like to thank whoever came in and screwed up the server for making me drive 150 miles back to get it back up. Yay BitPonzi for seriously taking up all my time now...(not really, the server also hosted my email and a bunch of other stuff that I needed back up as well)

I'm taking a break as long as it stays up now. New UI will be up when I feel like working on it again, now for bed and a several hundred mile trip to see some football tomorrow morning.

you guys want want to try a small amount before you send over larger amounts.

EDIT: never mind, they just took their sweet time!

Fixed. I forgot to start the updater service after I installed it. Now, bed. I'm tired and pissed off.

Thank you!  It wasn't that bad after all, hehe.  When I woke up this morning and read your post and saw the site was back online I had only missed a couple of rounds (I think), but I can keep going with the rest I was playing in.

I don't find the server to be slower now, if something more responsive than before, but maybe it's too early to tell.

No jackpot for me, I wasn't awake last night Sad
Oh well, I didn't incur a loss on DAILYMASSIVE3, which is good.  I earned about .96 in profit, actually Smiley

If you want to pledge for DAILYMASSIVE4 (which will happen on Monday 8pm EST) please send the amount you are willing to pledge, in Satoshis, to 1NformCi1ue5BvegHqzug2Jrv9QnWL2DMn

I am not doing the daily massive series on weekends as this site gets very quiet.

DAILYMASSIVE4 will have 30% ROI, 30% jackpot, a 20BTC initial deposit to get it started faster (if you want 15 instead, please tell me), and a 3 hour expiration (not fixed).

edit: Oh yes, congratulations to the winner of the 8.4 BTC jackpot for DAILYMASSIVE3!
