Most rich people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are against investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general because of the huge risks due to heavy volatility. I'm very bullish on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, but it's indeed a huge gamble. "Moon" and "lambo" gains aren't guaranteed. We're just pretty much speculating and hoping that it would indeed rise to very high prices.

Its normal for people with the clout, wealth and resources of Bill Gates not to invest in what they cant control and any scheme for which the founders are anonymous. If I were Bill Gates I will probably say the same thing.

I'm confident before about Bill Gates as he stated that he was a bitcoin supporter but there's a sudden change.
I know on how Gates is knowledgeable with bitcoin but it can be an insider that he has some plans of making his own coin or he just want to pull the price lower. And when he's done, he'll start buying again and will just take back what he said.

It's totally irrelevant what Bill Gates or Warren Buffett talks about cryptocurrency, why anybody should be fascinated by their thoughts? They are just dinosaurs who stick to what they know and that is fiat, ultimate god who is irreplaceable with anything else.

It is really funny when Mr.Bill say that how crypto can have "horrible effect for users, one of which is losing his own life"., and that is come from man who is giving billions of $ for depopulation of the world not choosing methods how to achieve that. Some of them are very scary and I bet most of the world would disagree with them.

For anyone who believes in BTC and wish good future for it, Bill Gates and similar hypocrites should be completely irrelevant persons.

That's just his opinion. I think it is caused by the ban on ICO advertising in social networks. There are other equally important experts-billionaires, who just recommend investing in bitcoin.

bill gates is against bitcoin, because bitcoin creates poverty and wastes a lot of ressorces. he is however not against cryptocurrencies he never was against ethereum also warren buffet was not against ethereum

He said that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are kind of a pure greater fool theory type of investment, base on my reading he have also a bitcoin but few years he sell it afterward, maybe bill gates hates long term holding but whatever it is was must respect his opinion about bitcoin,  because  he became a millionaire in different way.

I think his dislike crypto because he does't understand, why people does investment to something they can't touch, see and using in real life. We know he invested his money to maked something real, like windows, computer, zafra with their t shirt, or other company produce like bike, food etc. he does't understand why crypto is unreal product, but more valuable than real company product.

Well, he also did not believe in the internet until it was too late for him and Microsoft...so lets take his opinion on these matters with a grain of salt. It could be that he just does not intuitively connect with technology that is of a decentralized nature.

Specifically, bitcoin: I think he sees it as many people do. The first success in the market but not likely to be the last, as an investor, one wants to invest in the lasting success not the first. I think because of his experience through each wave of technological evolution we have recently gone through, he does not believe that being first is a good thing in the long run.

while I don't necessarily agree with him, it's always important to maintain an open mind and keep an eye on developments in case the landscape changes.

I am really shocked to know that a personality like Bill Gates is against bitcoin which is very usefull and at the same time helping million people.I think he does not aware of the usefullness of it. When he get to know about it properly than I am sure he will support it.

Bill Gates is a Great man and people like him very much. But I don't what He said will have, the negative statements He made about BTC will have bad influence on it. Bill Gates is not an ordinary citizen and he is one of the known billionaire today but still he is risking his own money in investing bitcoin it's may because they believe that  bitcoin can still survive and rise to the highest level of profit.
