i think its just a matter of time till this coin is no cpu-only coin any more... so at startup its a BOTNET coin, then it gets a GPU-farm coin. by the way, i got a strong feeling that certain individuals already got the right knowledge/miner to mine this on GPUs. maybe thats why theres no premine  |

Is there scrypt coins that can't be mined with GPU? So, if there's already keccak GPU miners, why would they not work? Maybe maxcoin isn't keccak coin after all? If it's like devs say, then GPU miners should work. Unless they use custom keccak algorithm, which I doubt. There's not any evidence that they don't work. All is just hearsay.

How does the Sha-3 MaxCoin algorithm scale with multicore machines?
A 8-core is supposed to be 8 times as fast as a single core (using same architecture and frequency)?

I can't understand why people want CPU. Ok, you don't have a GPU rig, I understand. But anyways botnets will come and take ALL the coins, so you will earn nothing anyways. The distribution will be less fair, then just some will dump in Coins-e and nobody will care anymore about this coin.

to be fair.. all coin algos started with cpu.. when gpu mining starts, it will squash the bots. |
