It's astounds me that people have been able to post 24 pages in this thread since the scheduled launch time, and the MaxCoin devs claim they haven't been able to do the launch here which involves just changing the first post in this thread.

That's because you are putting trust in the devs without any proof.  Is it too difficult to assume that they are obfuscating?  What if there is another problem and they are using the 502 as a convenient excuse?   Sorry to be so cynical but in my opinion something else is going on and they are too embarrassed to admit it.
