Are there any pplns pools? The fluctuations in difficulty are insanely fast, and I'm quite confident I'm losing coins to it because I'm steady on a single pool with several rigs.

good thing about MAX -> you don't have to think WHEN to sell, dumping NOW is never too early :d
Max Keiser Crypto Terrorist - the Jamie Dimon of Cryptocurrencies!! RT #cryptoterrorist #crashmaxcoin #unfollowmaxkeiser - http://ctt.ec/f4fOW So....I'm gonna guess you are not a fan of Max Keiser. However comparing anything he has said/done to the crimes of Jamie Dimon requires an absurd level of naivete.

I'm loving mining this! My rigs are super cool and quiet thanks to the much lower intensities I can mine at. I can even use my main PC while I'm mining again. Hopefully this coin has legs, even if it gets back in line with Scrypt coins in profitability, I definitely see myself sticking around here.

Get out while you can. I get lower temps, but higher instability with this protocol. Its no big deal just makes it hard to surf while mining.

Cant believe there still isn't a fixed wallet for those users experiences crash on the current 1.0 version in win8. Or have i missed an release somewhere? Several days since launch, and i still haven't installed a wallet, don't like to use mcxnow as my piggybank

The price can go down to 0.00035 or so before it becomes uninteresting to mine-dumpers.

I'm using the latest windows cgminer from http://max.1gh.com I'm getting 105 kh/s and around 23 WU - make sure your wallet is not generating or cpu mining at the same time with cpuminer that kills half of the hashing power. so set gen=0 in your maxcoin.conf or type "setgenerate false" in the console heres my bat setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 cgminer --keccak -o stratum+tcp://moria.dwarfpool.com:3339 -u MYWALLET -p 1 -I 6 --no-submit-stale

Anyone get the QT wallet going on debian wheezy ?
Follow the instructions I posted earlier and it will run. If you are incapable of untar'ring and symlinking, I *could* make a completely statically-linked version of maxcoin-qt, which would run no matter what versions of its library dependencies your particular Linux distro carries. But that would take a day or two or three, because I'd have to static-compile all its dependencies first--including boost which is a *big* mutha. I'd have to be paid. Maybe someone who has more time on his hands than I do, will take the hint. The devs should have supplied static-linked Linux versions of maxcoind and maxcoin-qt right from the start. That they did not, proves either their abysmal incompetence as Linux developers, or else they intended all along to rape it with GPU-miners while the rest of us were thrashing about to get it going. Got to be one or the other.
