There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

What's wrong with this coin? Why won't it find other nodes on its own?

Finally got it to synchronize. However the amount of nodes seems to be quite low given the network hashrates.

I've got a feeling this coin is even more speculative than the rest, and mostly mined & traded on exchanges, and very few users have the wallet installed.

A good friend of mine gave me 2 nodes, 1GBPS each.
They will stay here forever.

Code:
addnode=94.23.80.59
addnode=198.50.155.236

Hey, smexy. Don't waste your time. Time's precious.

Anyone heard from smalltimeminers?  I haven't checked too far back but have not seen a post updating us of the situation with their server.

Yea its just that we still havent been able to figure out block stats formula, so those graphs are not real.

If you mine for 12-24 hours you'll notice payouts are good in comparison, add to that zero downtime, maintenance.

Haters ddosers  Angry
Some teenager probably lost on MAX-coins lately...

Hopefully MAX will come back in the high levels again soon. Grin

The test of the highs is over.. now price will fall until minimg isnt profitable at electricity costs.. so has a long way to fall for a long time still.

difficulty has doubled and price has halved since the highs a few days ago... it just needs to drop below the profitability of litecoin and then most of the miners will switch.. its pretty close now.

Unless there is some game-changer event, such as Amazon or Gyft starts accepting it.  Max Keiser has enough celebrity status that such a development does not seem far-fetched.

something like StartJoin perhaps?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSahlK5ab9w

man max looks like some homeless bum they dragged in off the street...

anyways the price could spike if startjoin uses maxcoin and it could tank if it doesn't.

Hehe...yup.  Pure speculation of course at this point, but, if Startjoin can build a record of successful startups, and if maxcoin becomes its preferred currency, then maxcoin would have roughly the same dynamics underpinning its value as the petrodollar.

It doesn't have to because every miner is not selling 100% of his coins every day.

Stop with this misconception, it makes my head hurt because of facepalms.
