Buy Your Own Ledger, use Hardware Wallet.
Aware and Avoid Phising Link, and protect your private key. I guarantee your wallet are safe.

This should be the most common yet effective to protect your coins, because of its tight security Ledger became so popular with those people who own some bitcoins. not only for its convenience nano ledger has no history of hacking that's most of the investors have this wallet with them.

Using extension wallets are the safest provided no one gets access to your computer or mobile devices. If you use your devices carefully and avoid downloading links or filling forms you don't know their contents, then your wallet is safe.

This is for those who use wallets with cheap transaction fee, such as ethereum based wallets.
There are some who cannot yet afford to purchase a hardware wallet. On that note, i have a suggestion on how your wallet can be safe from hackers. I have always noticed wallets that get easily hacked are those that are subject to public view.
Try as much as possible to have a separate cold wallet address that you do not copy and paste the private key, and neither do you share the address with anyone. You can use it to store most of your valuable coins.
Even if you want to transfer any coin or token to an address belonging to another person, first transfer it to your public wallet before sending it out.

If you have coins for long hold, then mobile and Web wallets is not for you coffee of thier high prone to attack. But if you must, ensure that you didn't save your private keys anywhere online especially your email. Also, never fill any suspicious form or site asking for Passphrase or private keys to earn a reward.
The point is not to let your key be seen by others, if there is a transaction process, you investigate it first, if there are entries relating to the wallet do not proceed. For hackers, any means will be done to spy on their prey. Fill in the topics you have represented to protect your wallet from hackers. Always stay alert.

The best thing to do is to trust no one. It's dangerous to keep your wallet information via cloud storage since it can be manipulated by the third party and it's possible that your email may get hacked. It's recommended to write all of your wallet information on a paper and keep it with padlock. Make sure that no one is possible to acess it but you and the one who can steal it personally.

If I am not mistaken in understanding what you are saying, for example, if we want to send coins from wallet A to wallet B, then we must send first to wallet Z, from Z to D, and so on. So that the sender and recipient source cannot be seen by the public.

I think there is no way to hide our assets from the public. If we transfer coins from one wallet to another. We can see transaction history. One thing we must understand is that this Blockchain was created for transparent transactions. This blockchain was created as opposed to conventional bank transactions.

It's one great way to secure the funds you have or a valuable one for you. But maybe the hacker will continue to look for ways to get what they want to do.

I use several wallets. I save the basic funds on the hardware wallet. to enter the reserve I use metamask. I plan to buy a separate laptop for offline transactions
I have two wallet online and offline wallet but I always use the online wallet in my all transactions. The easiest that I have do to protect my wallet is by just using google authenticator and having backup phrase. Actually, once I sign in my wallet in a computer it will notified me in my gmail that's why I can simply notice if someone want to open my wallet. I just use my offline wallet as a storage of my bitcoin.

BIG WINNER!

It really makes sense to use Google authenticator. but I think it's okay to keep the cryptocurrencies in exchanges, I don't think I will suffer any loss due to the money stored in big exchanges like Binance, Kraken, Coinbase. Because they are taking all the security measures for us.

If you are paranoid, just like me then buy new Trezor One, write your mnemonic passphrase on paper, send your cryptocurrencies to the new Trezor. Then buy Cryptosteel + fire resistant safe. Put everything into safe.  Cheesy

The most common wallet hacking mistake is the human factor. You need to spend more time on security.  Working with MEW use metamask.

Yes there are a lots of complain about wallet hacking. I think most of the time people lost their wallet for their own mistakes. Most of them got into a very easy scam by hackers is called pishing. They just copied a trusted site and people started to upload everything in it. That's why if you have some extra money never think twice just buy a hardware wallet. That will help.

Wallet hackers are always such a clue which he/she hacks any kind of wallets. If we are aware of it, then it will be save from hackers such as - you save your private keys in a paper or other places, download an app which you should be careful, not to visit websites which are harmful etc.

To recap, here are 10 tips to consider when it comes to protecting your cryptocurrency:
1) Use wallets from known sources.
2) Do your homework.
3) Store your coins in a cold wallet.
4) Don't keep all your cryptocurrency in a single place.
5) Store your cryptocurrency private keys.
6) Always Back up your cryptocurrency private keys.

I think this point is reasonable and I do sometimes try this method, but if the transaction is large enough if the transaction is small (under $ 20) I do not do this method, no problem throwing a little cost but if you want to be safe this way is very good to do.

I have a few friends. They also invested and bought hardware wallets, but their money was still stolen. I don't know what the reason is, is it really safe?

Yes there are a lots of complain about wallet hacking. I think most of the time people lost their wallet for their own mistakes. Most of them got into a very easy scam by hackers is called pishing. They just copied a trusted site and people started to upload everything in it. That's why if you have some extra money never think twice just buy a hardware wallet. That will help.
I have a few friends. They also invested and bought hardware wallets, but their money was still stolen. I don't know what the reason is, is it really safe?
like the story you tell, it looks like the hardware wallet doesn't help secure your friend's investment. I personally don't have a lot of coin investment, so I only use web wallet (MEW) and bookmarks to avoid phishing attacks.

Basically, the best way to protect your money from hackers is from trezor wallet. The next thing here is if you are going to transfer some funds in your wallet to another, be sure to be correct in doing so. Double check, triple check the address.

Don't keep seeing prices to go up and wait because it's boring. invest your coins and leave them until you forget that you are investing with them.
