coinium have over 40 miners, mining pool has 10,000 khs both pools on the same block i think thats the fork we should be focusing on

http://cat.coinium.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

https://www.mining-pool.co.uk/cat-catcoin/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

You can think that, Crypto King, but I'm telling you straight to your face that Coinium is ON THE WRONG FORK.

The P2Pool, solo miners, geekhash, Coinex are all sync'd now - and we're getting ready to release a maintenence fix with a checkpoint.

http://www.reddit.com/r/catcoins/comments/1y2eg6/aye_maties_raise_the_jib_and_ready_the_checkpoint/

We have a 5K CAT insurance policy for proven losses, but that does NOT include people that intentionally try to engage in a chain war.

Folks - it's really really important that we all READ and KEEP UP - things are moving VERY VERY QUICKLY!

We harpoon Pirates and Whales (tm)

for fak sake mane, how annoying is this.. that 5k insurance policy im looking for some.. On to geekhash then people.

ok i will listen to you then, but coinium needs to change and be corrected so does mining pool, i will try geek hash wats the link for p2pool

Prove the losses, then we'll talk.

Put your .catcoin/ directory (MINUS YOUR WALLET FILE) in a .tar.gz, or zip file, and post a link to it on on http://www.reddit.com/r/catcoins/comments/1y2eg6/aye_maties_raise_the_jib_and_ready_the_checkpoint/ along with the addresses used for mining, and we can start sorting this out.

To use p2pool, which puts the generated coins DIRECTLY IN YOUR WALLET, you can connect to:
catstat.info:9927 and then use {YOUR_CATCOIN_ADDRESS} as the username.

So if you use minerd, and your address is 9dicSmVEvXijLbhU71DDo3zfqjhw2mE5Em, you would do:
 ./minerd -o catstat.info:9927 -u 9dicSmVEvXijLbhU71DDo3zfqjhw2mE5Em

No password or login, or account setup is needed. Just connect and mine.

What about the coins I mined for 4 days solid on the correct fork according to you and I sent to cryptsy 9 days ago and still have not shown up? How may forks are there exactly?

I'm going to be very, very blunt here, crypto king - please understand this is very very serious:

STOP YELLING IN RED!

If it's news to you that 1. we have forks or 2. that pools are disconnected or that 3. everyone mining is at their own risk or that 4. this entire ecosystem is a BETA, then maybe you should consider taking up knitting.

For the people paying attention:  The pools and exchanges are getting sorted out one by one.  We have real cat community people putting their mining and money on the line to support the coin and fund the insurance policy.

Raistlinthewiz at Coinium has fixed previous forks and he's put his own personal money on the line to quiet the crybabies - we want him to know we've got his back.

TeamCatCoin will not respond so they and their miners are on the path to 'shit out of luck'.  Think that's a problem?  Get them to the table!

Anyone that wants to pull their miners into a safe harbour, please do with my blessings.  Get some coffee, restock the galley - this storm will be over very soon.

Please check your spam filters first.  If you have not received the email yet, please join the IRC chat #geekhash with your own IRC client, or you can use this web link to connect to us.
 http://www.geekhash.org/?q=webirc

For an unknown reason, most people get the initial email, while others never receive it.  I can manually set a temp password for you, after verifying your account.

Sorry for any inconvenience with the email.

P.S. I also fixed the IRC links on the main news, for the web irc link.

Do you have a cryptsy trouble ticket id? we might be able to help but we need a technical contact at cryptsy to work with.

Does anyone know what cryptsy's catcoind IP address is so I can see what version they are running

I have synced my wallet with these nodes:

seed.catcoinwallets.com
198.23.248.246
107.170.40.107
cat.geekhash.org (172.254.235.58)

And now i have 144 unconfirmed catcoins which were mined between 12.2 and 16.2. I was mining for 5 days and i didn't know it was wrong chain(coinium pool). Coins are lost now?

I opened a support ticket 8 days ago and have updated the ticket everyday with the transaction details like above, they have not aswered a single one. it seems they don't care. if this is the case then what future for the catcoin?

Give it some time for the entire block chain to rebuild.  All of your coins will move to 'unconfirmed' until the download is complete.  Once you have the complete blockchain then yes, any coins unconfirmed may be lost during 'reconstruction'.

Don't confuse CATcoin with cryptsy, mate. Wink  They'll get straight with the network one way or another.  They'll either take care of their customers or they won't - but we have other exchanges to use - like Coinex - they're working as part of the community.  Not all pools or exchanges are.

I've had a ticket open at Cryptsy for a while as well and have about 130 CAT locked up there.  When I opened the ticket, I could send coins OUT from Cryptsy to my wallet, but couldn't send coins IN to Cryptsy.  Now that they say it's 'fixed' I can't send OR receive. LOL  I had to re-open the ticket and they still haven't responded.  Hell of a way to run a railroad, but there we are.

But it says that my wallet is two hours behind and i have 446 confirmed and 144 unconfirmed( these coins were mined between 12.2 and 16.2) coins. These 144 catcoins should be confirmed so far because they were mined few days ago. They are also unconfirmed in the transaction tab. I will check your link.

2 hours behind is fine - we're in a slow period.  Give it an hour or two.

Jup im synced now as well.. Lost 251 of 383 coins + 68 still at coinium but since all other coins mined there are gone, unconfirmed, i guess i won't get those back either..

Can I also join in that compensation plan for 319 coins?

I've read the post about posting you appdata catcoin dir on reddit but not sure what you mean with mining adress since i mined at teamcatcoin and later at coinium? So i guess i don't have one?

Also still gone of course are my first coins ever mined, about 9 days ago, my 91 coins i send to cryptsy.. Now they send me back a reply that they can't find the transaction number on the chain on catchain.info .... the website that hasn't been updated for like 7 days.....

Omg what a disaster..
