Another point I'd like to make
Mining-pool.co.uk 0.049mh/s cat.e-pool.net 1.1mh/s Coinex 0.608mh.s Geekhash 8.165mh/s (still under Construction)
Coinex network states say 31.4 mh/s
So are all the above on the correct Fork?
And then there's
Coinium @ 40.3mh/s
Could I ask the devs why the less popular fork has been used?

My say is not an official answer, but I'm going to suspect, that when Hozer sent out a call to all the pools to help and test some new code that was going to bring the network back together, nobody from Coinium or TeamCatCoin showed up, and neither have been active in the dev channel since even before the shout-out was sent. I showed up to help debug and test, and well, here we are. Blak

Thanks for the heads-up. I made some changes to the DNS records as part of deploying our new seed and master nodes. It looks like the updates aren't fully propagated yet. I'll post an update when it's accessible again. Andy

Blaksmith covered most of this - I'll hit the rest. Those are not the only pools or miners on the network, and they only account for part of the network hash rate. The longest chain with the most work is the one that all have agreed should be selected - and that's why we chose the blockchain we're working working to get everyone aligned with. Thanks for doing your homework and for taking the time to ask! Andy

Another concern I have is, Coinedup, coinex & crypto rush are/have been on the wrong fork. So all the people who have invested in cat coin are suddenly going to lose their coins. This isn't going to look good to investors in cat coin. I don't think anyone knows which fork Cryptsy is on, could open a ticket but rolling a dice might be more productive!!!!

With respect, mac-coin, if you had read through the last 24 hours of messages you would see that everything you are asking has already been covered. I understand also that some people visit here simply to spread FUD so they can move the market. How shall I treat your question? You help me understand how to best answer your question and I'll give it my best. Andy

Could you list all known pools on the correct chain thanks No. Can you? How's your Chinese today? My English, a bit of Russian and German aren't helping me with Mandarin one bit. LOL We know, for example, that the Hashco.ws switching pool is not mining CAT, but we do not know how much the Middlecoin switching pool is mining us. There are other pools like these all over the world - and most don't want us to know if they're mining us or not. It doesn't matter. The truth is in the block chain and the work for that block chain. When selecting a chain, it doesn't matter who mined it, it just matters that it's the longest and has the most work.

The name isn't resolving because we have two name servers 'fighting' over the catcoinwallets.com chores. I'm working on it now and will get it fixed as soon as possible. Andy

Also check http://catstat.info (which just redirects to a stats page on cat.geekhash.org) We think we have solution(s) to un-fork this forking mess, and if you want to help out join #catcoin-dev and try compiling the catbox https://bitbucket.org/dahozer/catcoinAn official version will be forthcoming at https://github.com/CatcoinOfficial/CatcoinRelease once we have officially cleared it with the department of redundancy clearing department, and someone besides me thinks it might actually work. You can think that, Crypto King, but I'm telling you straight to your face that Coinium is ON THE WRONG FORK. The P2Pool, solo miners, geekhash, Coinex are all sync'd now - and we're getting ready to release a maintenence fix with a checkpoint.http://www.reddit.com/r/catcoins/comments/1y2eg6/aye_maties_raise_the_jib_and_ready_the_checkpoint/We have a 5K CAT insurance policy for proven losses, but that does NOT include people that intentionally try to engage in a chain war. Folks - it's really really important that we all READ and KEEP UP - things are moving VERY VERY QUICKLY!We harpoon Pirates and Whales (tm)

We are on the correct fork since the dev flash of February 16, 2014, 10:47:05 PM ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=441402.msg5187332#msg5187332) We are using the devs instructions, it's just what everyone should do if we want the network to be OK. Check our actual block and compare to http://catstat.info/ ... yes, the same. I reopened registrations after a database cleanup : all shares and blocks we mined as we were on the wrong fork have been removed. _TheQueen74 https://www.mining-pool.co.uk/cat-catcoin/Can we have an upto date list of all the pools now on the correct fork.
It's crucial we get all the pools back on track so we can start mining properly.
Please pool owners let us know

DEV FLASHJust a quick heads-up: We're working through the release process for the V8.9.10 maintenance release code, wallets, and catcoind binaries. You might save yourselves some work and some time if you wait for the release. Once we release the code, we'll have Windows wallets available within the hour with Mac wallets to follow. Is everyone ready for a stable and fork-free network? DEV FLASH

Hey, I'm mining at your pool but the coins i mine seem to get stuck at estimate? Where normall when a block is done the coins go from estimate to un-confirmed.

Andy It looks like the DNS bugs have been squashed and the wallet links in the first post are alive again. We also have fully functioning seed and master nodes heading our network. The wallets posted are still the current release V8.9.0 wallets. Once we release the V8.9.10 maintenance wallets we post 'down' here in the fast moving pages and also update the original post. Andy

DEV FLASHThe version 8.9.10 maintenance release is officialPool status: Coinium, TeamCatCoin, and GeekHash are compiling now. Windows and Mac wallets are underway and will be linked in the first post when they're ready. If you want to compile for your pool, or build a Windows wallet or catcoind.exe, the source is here: https://github.com/CatcoinOfficial/CatcoinReleaseWindows build instructions: http://www.catcoinwallets.com/win/catcoin_wallet_build_windows.pdfSave your catcoin directory first - especially if you plan to take advantage of the insurance program.Things are happening very quickly - everyone be gentle until all the pools are up and synchronized. Hi,
A fairly basic question here but I just want to be sure. I have wallet 8.9 and it's showing up to date with all coins intact. There's no chance I have coins from a wrong fork in this wallet, correct? As I understand it, that wouldn't be possible, but I just want to check. I can proceed to upgrade to 8.9.10 without any concerns?
Thank you in advance for your help-
