Thanks for the update.
Does the dev team know how many forks are out there, and which 1 are they are going choose.
My vote is for the coinium folk as this seam to be the only really active folk.
Actually, the p2p fork is longer, has more work, and has more pools/miners as far as I can tell: 2014-02-16 19:51:09 SetBestChain: new best=507a741bdc3f98a2e19c8b10e4be409f27a43afbdf9cbd2e0e7e2fabae6f223b height=23249 log2_work=50.044881 tx=74699 date=2014-02-16 19:50:16 progress=0.999960

No, and we're trying not to control or manipulate the forks either. Our focus has been to document and communicate every process and to work openly with all from the community - including exchanges and pools - that will work with us. For now, I want to echo Blaksmith and Hozer's posts from the past day or two - Any cat mining you choose to do until we determine the official fork is At Your Own Risk. If you do choose to mine, I strongly recommend that you connect to Blaksmith's pool at geekhash, or run hozer's P2Pool code - the hashing there will speed testing and shorten the amount of time it will take to fully test the release. If you want to connect to the test chain and see how it might affect you, back up your wallet.dat and catcoin.conf, delete the rest of the files. Then remove the addnode entries in your catcoin.conf and replace them with the master nodes: 107.170.40.107, 198.23.248.246, and cat.geekhash.org. The block as of this posting is 23249 Keep in mind that everyone across the community will lose some cats as we remove the forks. But all of this will be a speed bump when we look back in mid-March. thanks for the update, its just that im old school cat so im used to seeing loads of members posting about loads of positive things.I know it takes time and i do appreciate what the devs are doing but i have been reading over the posts and the last thread and the whole development side of things is taking ages and ages, i know everything needs to be right but i have not known a coin be in consistent development for so long. We just need the basics right and quick.
Another 30 days of development and so on is not what we want, we need 30 days of promotion (i know there is some) but more.
what fork because i want to get mining catcoin again!

Don't we all. What continues to surprise me is the incredible volume of posts here - it makes it look like a ton of time has passed. Check the OP - from 31 January to 16 Feb we have filled 30 pages here! Sometimes it's hard to get a word in edgewise. And two posts after posting a dev update, someone asks for an update. LOL Almost...almost...

When I can be certain that the coins I purchase are safe and will arrive safely in my wallet I will be happy. Until everyone is on the same page I can't take such a risk.
1 - Who is/isn't on the right blockchain 2 - How do I confirm I am on the right blockchain? 3 - Which exchanges are on the right blockchain?

why is everything taking so long?
We just want catcoin so we can mine, good difficulty retarget, buy and sell and promote to take forward. (simple)
The whole development is just gone way to far.
Pages and pages of testing, testing and testing. This coin seems to be a test of all coins.
Now im forced to talk about development and i dont want to.
If the coin is not ready then there should be an offical statement saying the coin is under development, do not mine, do not buy, do not sell! do nothing!

addnode = cat.geekhash.org addnode = ultimatecoinpool.com addnode = eu.coinium.org addnode = us.coinium.org addnode = teamcatcoin.com Using the above node list, my wallet shows block 23140. I have managed to send CAT from my wallet to CoinEx, CoinedUp and CryptoRush. www.mining-pool.co.uk is currently mining block 23141. I've only just started mining there, so I haven't been able to test if cashing out works or not. I've tested some p2pool mining, but those transactions didn't get through to my wallet. ManicMiner.in transactions don't work either. I'M NOT SAYING THIS IS THE RIGHT FORK, I'M JUST SUPPLYING SOME INFO THAT OTHERS MIGHT FIND USEFUL.

Test chain? Can you please clarify what that means? You said you were on a testnet, but the geekhash node is part of the official list.

Hi, thank you for trying to send miners to our pool, but the basic facts are that we dont even know if coinium and I are on the fork that will be retained by devs. i have tried to send cats directly to paradoxima to see where it goes... but to be honnest, I personnaly prefer to point my miners to other coins during those dark ages... _TheQueen74

DEV FLASHEveryone - please - unless you have been working 14 hour days on CAT, have more than half of your CAT stake at risk, are putting your own money (not mining profits - paycheck funds!) into cat support and cat development, than I can absolutely assure you that you do not want to be certain of CAT more than me! Everyone knows we have forks. Hopefully you also know we've been testing a solution and working with the entire community to fix this. With that said we want to confirm that we have another safe pool to mine if you want to mine - AT YOUR OWN RISK. Thanks to Captainfuture of coinex.pw as his exchange and pools are synchronized! Mine one of Hozer's P2Pools Mine at geekhash.com Mine at Coinex Sync your wallet with one of these and solo-mine Yes, the OP is currently out of date but we'll fix it. The addnodes are out of date - they will disappear because the code's fixed and We Now Control The Seed Node and We Have Master Nodes. Master Nodes: seed.catcoinwallets.com 198.23.248.246 107.170.40.107 cat.geekhash.org (172.254.235.58) It's fluid - it's flowing - it's like herding cats - but we're all moving in the right direction - and it's towards full, whole, catness***. DEV FLASH*** I know what you're thinking. Sorry, that's 'katniss' not 'catness'

You can think that, Crypto King, but I'm telling you straight to your face that Coinium is ON THE WRONG FORK. The P2Pool, solo miners, geekhash, Coinex are all sync'd now - and we're getting ready to release a maintenence fix with a checkpoint.http://www.reddit.com/r/catcoins/comments/1y2eg6/aye_maties_raise_the_jib_and_ready_the_checkpoint/We have a 5K CAT insurance policy for proven losses, but that does NOT include people that intentionally try to engage in a chain war. Folks - it's really really important that we all READ and KEEP UP - things are moving VERY VERY QUICKLY!We harpoon Pirates and Whales (tm)
