i didnt use a pool to store my coins though….it was my catcoin wallet. yes 34 and change. sure its not a ton but mined coins r mined coins lol. 1.8 coins is what i was left with after redownloading the blockchain so there goes 34 coins i guess. blower
How did you originally get those 34 coins? The most likely thing is that those 34 coins were sent to you on a fork that was eventually overridden. Depending on whether you were mining, and got those coins as part of mining awards, or payment for something, you may be able to get the original sender to resend the coins to you. If you were contributing to mining on a fork that did not turn out to be the one that won out, then there never were any coins, and they weren't really lost, more that you saw some phantom coins. Etblvu1 i only mined from coinex.pw and coinium i never traded for catcoins and i also never purchased catcoins or any other form of collecting them…only mined. It was a while ago so i dont remember how many came from coinex and how many came from coinium but at the time i mainly mined coinium and there were times where there was a fork but they coins were taken from my account and an announcement was put up explaining why coins were missing and so on. I switched to coinex only when coinium was down for upgrades or when there wasnt enough pool hashrate to mine much but most of the time i was on coinium for catcoins.

Etblvu1 this shit is ass backwards. I just replaced my wallet with a very old copy of my backed up wallet and open the catcoin wallet app and it ended up syncing with 2.77 more coins then before i closed it. Its the exact same wallet just older and suddenly i have more coins?? i havent mined catcoins in months either so ik its not new coins….unless someone sent me coins which is really nice of them to do but if no one did im completely lost here lol. it also says: Status: 22 confirmations Date: 7/6/14 01:17 From: unknown To: 9jCGjmDwrx1mUvkV8pNPGwTXntjCZKjMMP (own address) Credit: 2.77777 CAT Net amount: +2.77777 CAT Transaction ID: 685ab34e99c6d4c4d3fb4f37a05fc5a5fa2cd338e5424dc5b4391e76976d44c5 thats the info for the 2.77 coins and it says from "unknown" which is weird. is this sorta stuff normal for catcoin?? i just cant find ne explaination for their confusion so maybe im just stupid lol.

So, it's been over 3 months since I've been around these parts.
It's downright depressing to see CAT in its current state. Is there actually anything going on behind the scenes or has the CAT finally used up all nine lives?

There are still discussions going on as to the next step that will be best for Catcoin.

My wallet won't sync past 3 days behind, just won't get anything new past that, 3 active connections to the catcoin network.

Just going through a period of very high number of minutes per block. There are discussions behind the scenes on solving this issue. This used to be even worse, believe it or not, so it is getting better. The silver lining on this cloud is that we have a very low inflation rate. But we will get closer to regular 10 minute blocks. Stay tuned. Etblvu1

Bump. :p I'm holding a big bag of Catcoins. Anyone still with this coin? The whole coin has a marketcap of 13 BTC xD. http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/catcoin/#marketsAre "we" going to keep this coin alive or let it die? And cryptsy is the only platform to trade this coin and even there the volume is very tiny. Anyone comment please.

I too am still holding, and hoping that we can somehow breath some live into it. I know zerodrama had an idea on changing the diff algo, but he didn't go into detail in the dev channel.

I'm sitting on just over 1000 CAT myself at the moment (from way back when it was worth over 40k Satoshi BTC each). Given that the coin is STILL in in a death spiral and nothing really seems to be happening, I regret holding my ground. Not much point exiting CAT now though, since my entire stash is now worth less than 0.01 BTC. I'd probably buy a heap instead if I had even the slightest amount of confidence that the coin will ever recover. That's probably what's stopping people from creating services and products that use the coin as well - lack of confidence in the coin itself. Shit's depressing. Man even I actually enough money at the moment to buy around 10% of the entire coin by myself going by marketcap. That's a scary thought.

Well, its nice to see some replies It is nice. I also watch the GitHub repo, and there has been some talk about changing the diff re-targeting. Maybe that will be enough to get this cat back on his feet!

+1 The Catcoin Community is a special community, based on a feline name, which drew us all together, with all the strengths and not so much strengths. We are independent, and maybe a bit prone to rest when nothing much seems to be going on. But we are also very focused on getting things done, when it is the right time, and that time is coming for Catcoin. Stay tuned.

Hello cats, I know it seems like I've been a long lost stray... Truth is life has had some turmoil and i was handed the helm of a ghost ship (Dreamcoin) I've been working on things, that will affect cat too. I'm out to form partnerships, and have been developing growth strategies. I'm working on methods contrary to the trading floor of traders to proper investors...
I will soon be asking approval for some drastic measures... Foremost I am building a solid team of developers in a cross coin community so developments are shared across the board.... I am looking to build microeconomies.
Pm me for details.

First step is get a mailing list. This forum is only good for handing money to bots and pump & dumpers When you've got some developers and a mailing list, please discuss the code at https://github.com/tmagik/CatcoinRelease and tell me what block number to put in.

why cant we just get the difficulty adjustment corrected, there has got to be a dev out there who can do this surely? Is there anyone willing to do so just for the sake of this coin. The potential was massive here when originally released 'we were out to challenge dogecoin' i have a holding in this coin and still believe it can come back to life
