I’m going to be accumulating the majority of the coins below over the course of 2018 Q1—I’m a big believer in a diversified portfolio.

Especially in crypto.

I split coins into 3 tiers. Coins in tiers 1 & 2 I will be continuously adding to my holdings throughout Q1.

I based these tiers on my investment strategy, I highly suggest creating a strategy before investing in anything.

You need to have a goal that you’re working towards, and a framework for how you want to reach that goal.

My goal is to increase my holdings of Tier 1 & 2 coins, by trading coins from tier 3 on a short-medium time frame (2–6 months).

I also margin trade Tier 1 & 2 coins and use profits to increase my overall $BTC position.

Don’t margin trade.

It’s bad.

Not margin trading is rule #8 in my “10 Crypto Commandments”.

Some of these coins I don’t believe in as long term investments.

Most of the time, the criteria I use to pick coins starts fundamentally with the team, roadmap, and community.

Once I’ve deemed a coin as “Fundamentally Strong”, I then go into the charts and apply Technical Analysis to determine if I can get a solid entry point.

Sometimes, I’ll see a coin I don’t think will last in the long run, but the chart is just too pretty to say no. I will denote these coins with an [X] by their name.

Cliche Disclaimer: none of this is financial advice, don’t even listen to me, I’m a random person on the internet — I could be full of sh*t and you wouldn’t know it.

Do your own research and only ever invest what you can afford to lose.

Tier 1

Bitcoin ($BTC)

I always hold at least a little BTC. Bitcoin is the market leader, and until that changes, I will always hedge against my Altcoin investments with Bitcoin. I typically have any where from 10–30% of my portfolio in Bitcoin depending on Bitcoin dominance at that time.

Bitcoin dominance refers to the percentage of the total cryptocurrency market share which is held by Bitcoin. You can check the live stat here.

The link also shows the market dominance of the other major coins on the market- spend some time getting to know the chart and notice how coins market caps correlate negatively or positively with each other.

Understanding the market cycles of crypto is pivotal to successful investing.

Tier 2

Neo ($NEO) & Ethereum ($ETH)

ETH and NEO are competitors. They solve the same problems, are both serious coins with large market caps, and I hold both as long term investments.

I’m not hedging against my bets by investing in competitors. It’s feasible to me that these two entities could co-exist in the future in a fashion similar to how Apple and Samsung coexist.
My choice is always the bitcoin, the king, the superstar, the role model of crypto market, bitcoin is the currency which has highest valuation among all crypto currencies and moreover if we look at other statistics like growth graph, profit ratio then bitcoin tops the every criteria, and moreover bitcoin has the minimum valuation in recent time so I think this is the best time to invest into the bitcoin and I think this is the best coin to invest in 2018

Etehrum is expanding the community. For me, investing in etehrum will be the right choice. I believe etehrum will become stronger in 2018.

I am not agree with you, because price of bitcoin is getting better so we should prefer buying the coin which will be low in price, bitcoin is not too much high in price and buying bitcoin right now can give us profit, as long term investment nothing can be more valuable than bitcoin, because when we hold bitcoin it surely rise in price and we get profit at the end, so now is the best time to buy some bitcoin and hold them till the end of 2018, I am sure you will not regret for your decision.
That ethereum coin is also I would like to invest this 2018, because it has many uses, it can be use directly as gas for tokens to be traded in the different sites  , and it is establishing its name in the coin market next to bitcoin and aside from it, it is not big value when we want to invest unlike bitcoin which has a great value for investment.

With the fall of prices in coin last month it provided very good option to people to buy the coins at very low rate. It could be btc, eth, or some other altcoins which is still available at discounted rate . So buying now and getting the fruits in some months as a profit will make you more successful.

I think the market will move to the "privacy coins" into the near future.
We need more privacy for our transactions that's why I'm certain about it. I can suggest you to check some good projects like Monero, DeepOnion, Privcy and many others.
Keep the one you prefer and you won't regret it in 1/2 years.

Right now, at the current condition the market is in I think Ethereum is still safe to invest even with
the prices it is currently at. With Bitcoin as well, I think the lower the price the more
I can get it. Though the emergence of new coins also has been the fuzz, tokens from bounties
are also getting quite popular and lucrative. Choices are getting wider and plenty.

that coins are indeed a safe coin to invest, especially for novice investors. will certainly have a good prospect in the future. now the price of a sidah begins to creep up, for that do not waste time to invest

According to me NEO and ETH are good cryptocurrencies to consider for investing. Both have their own objective and they are aiming towards a great problem and they provide a great solution for it. Ethereum especially, is the second in the crypto market. It has the second highest market capitalization. Both have the potential to grow further. You definitely cannot go wrong with any of them. While NEO is the chinese ethereum and aims at quite similar approach of ETH not to forget the free gas that comes with NEO.

I think that ethereum is worth to strive for because it is very good potential of the developed project and the technology behind it will be very useful for its users in the future.
so too many people are interested in investing in ethereum and believe in its profitable growth.

Ethereum may technically allow all types of uses to be utilized, but the reality shows that no one really cares about them. Ethereum was nothing before people suddenly went crazy on ICO's, and these ICO's are still the main driver. Take away ICO's and air drops, tell me what use is there that people are genuinely interested in? Bitcoin doesn't have anything other than what it currently is, and that's more than enough for people to actively use it. The less gimmicks there are, the less there is to corrupt or bug, which is exactly why Bitcoin has been operating consistently without problems in the last years. That can't be said about Ethereum....

I think the all-time best currency for investing in crypto currency is bitcoin there is no other doubt that if you want to more time then there are many choices available for you it also be profitable make sure it will not affect your profit and hopefully it will be profitable in your future .

Nice you have investment plans. Its your decision to invest on Crypto, base on your stated plans and programs, i see no reason to seek other advised, it maybe an added inputs before investing, maybe additional information, check the fundamentals, trends on the market, market structure, general overview of the market trading. Short term and long term investment have similar degree of risk on investment.

I've been a firm believer in ETH ever since. Maybe because it came first and has proven to be used by lots of ICOs. The good thin about NEO is it's newer, fresh and has lots of room for growth. People always like new things.

Investors like new and fresh investments though there are a lot of scam projects that I don't really like to invest in. I just hope that i can avoid those scam projects in the future since I do not want to experience them.

Ethereum will be a good crypto to invest in, not only because it is popular to ICOs or projects but it can also pump this year that can give more profit than Bitcoin.

Pleasant you have venture designs. Its your choice to contribute on Crypto, base on your expressed plans and projects, I see no motivation to look for other prompted, it perhaps an additional contributions previously contributing, possibly extra data, check the essentials, inclines available, advertise structure, general diagram of the market exchanging. Here and now and long haul speculation have comparable level of hazard on venture.

Since the last few years, the strategy has not changed. Distribute your capital to various cryptic currencies and just wait. As practice shows, this is the most profitable and easiest and almost riskless way of storing and profit making.

you should invest in bitcoin because bitcoin will getting high and will increase in the next year and if you can buy right now and hold for at least one year, then you can see that you can make a big profit. or you can buy bitcoin in every month with limit money so you can save more bitcoin and you can hold it while the price still moving to the highest price. I always suggest to my friends to do this if they cannot buy 1 bitcoin because we have a chance to buy a small part of bitcoin and then we can do it again if the price is down.

You should read about the project and "fall in love" with something that aligns with your interest... Finally, depending on how much you are in love, you can show your love by investing equivalent amount
