In three days, the 2018 World Cup will be kicked off. This is exciting. This means that there will be a large portion of people who make money on gambling. This is a fortunate World Cup. Because they have cryptocurrencies, I think that BTC will increase the trading volume during some of the World Cup because of the amount of gambling, so the price will be raised. I hope so. ! Welcome to discuss!
and if it does use a soccer theme, I really hope there is a coin like Football coin
if football coin is accepted as a transaction tool in this year's world cup, maybe this could be a kick start for cryptocurrency to start survival with other currencies

Its not necessary for bitcoin to rise for this kind of event but I think if its really accepted as mode of payment I think the price may still not be affected so much because not everyone are using bitcoin so technically the price will still remain on the same position. I still hope for a strong news to boost the market up again.

I don't think that the WC will be a significant market influence, but I think that there won't be enough gambling for the Bitcoin community to be impacted significantly by it. I would be a bit more convinced if there was a pre-buy going on for betting, and there was a slight rise in the market, but I guess we're waiting on people to start losing money before they buy any more, eh?

Its possible my friend, I guess it too that Bitcoin will have a massive rise up when world cup kicks off. Theres a million gambler in the world of crypto who were very excited to bet in this World event. I may participate too because this could be our chance to earn lots of bitcoin or the other way around, either of the two, bitcoin will have the last laugh as it will really goes up during these days of event.

I think so. Hotels get booked using btc so i bet people will want to do that for convenience. This is one way to promote bitcoin as well. The more people will be exposed to bitcoin. Its a worldwide event so it will probably make noise. A good way to advertise bitcoin.

I don't think so. Maybe some people will use bitcoin to buy and gamble, but this will not affect the rise and fall of bitcoin.

World Cup may decrease the price of bitcoin as people would be selling of their bitcoin for money but as not prominent as previous games.
Bitcoin sportsbook are offering comparable odds to the traditional bitcoin betting sites and are ease to use.
And hotels in Kaliningrad accepting bitcoin payments.

I quite disagree with you in my own opinion, I think bitcoin price will even go down the more, because many people will sell off their crypto to go and enjoy world cup o won't be looking to invest again until after world cup, and there are no much people who accept crypto currency as a payment option in Russia.

Who must initiate such movement to make Bitcoin popularized in a big event like this? For me, we should be the one who must initiates the adaptation of cryptocurrency in World Cup or someone in the board in World Cup Association will integrate a betting option for this currency online. This is possible if more people will demand such upgrades in this tournament.

Many people will sell their crypto to travel to Russia for world cup so I think that will make bitcoin price to go down because a lot of people will sell off to travel to go and witness world cup, but i believe before world cup ends, things will improve again.

It is unlikely that BTC will grow for the World Cup. This is not a cryptoevent. But some altcoins can grow - LTC, Dash, Doge (fast and a little fees) and new altcoins that are used for bets.

Well, this s a world of possibilities and everything is possible, the fact that Russia  is not totally against BTC will be an added advantage There might be an indoor gambling games , maybe online for a closed community open only to the selected few, i dont however think the world cup has any direct link to BTC or vice versa

I don't really see the correlation and honestly, the gambling market in crypto is tiny compared to that of FIAT. I don't see much change in Bitcoin and other currencies during 2018 I think unfortunately that this year is going to be sideways trading pretty much.

I don't think there's a direct link between the two, because bitcoin is now rarely used for gambling and the market is in a downward trend, so I don't think there's a correlation.
