Mastercoin went up to 3X pre-sale price in BTC first week after end of sale, settled down to 2X, then worked its way up to a peak of 25X over the next 6 weeks.

Well if we are going by that model, sellers that can't wait should be selling at more like 0.003 BTC.

I'd buy 1BTC's worth at 0.003, pm me if you can offer such a price......I was gutted finding out about this project literally 10 minutes after the final burn had finished! Had i found out about Counterparty a day earlier i would have burned a few BTC's of my own, but due to a ridiculous work schedule I haven't frequented this forum much since Dec 2012.

Counterparty sounds interesting.  Do I understand correctly that all I need to buy it is a bitcoin wallet with which I have control of the private key?  I use Multibit.  Would this work?  If so, I'd like to buy 0.1 BTC worth at 0.003 BTC if anyone is willing.

Sorry man, like I said, I'm not selling.  I am thinking a bit more long term on this one.

Oh no, now buyers are gonna start posting offers at 0.003 BTC and I will forever be known as the guy who tanked the price on day 1?

But to answer your question, yes, I believe as long as you have the private key any BTC wallet will work.  Now to actually use the XCP, I believe you need the standard bitcoin-qt + counterpartyd software.

Patel is selling at .006 BTC. There is a risk - wait and you may get a better deal, or this may be as low as it gets. NXT started out selling at 1 million per BTC a week after the presale ended with an average price of 47 million per BTC before pre-sale, a 4700% increase. It briefly went down to .5 BTC per million, then steadily increased from there with a few corrections but never back close to the million per BTC range.

Selling 2000xcp at 0.02. This is what I believe they are worth as a minimum and in a few weeks the price will reflect that. Obviously no ones going to buy them for that price today, but I'll keep re-posting my offer. They will get bought.
Yes, we should see that level easily reached once a GUI client is built and documentation is available around the product.

Buying 200 xcp at 0.006 BTC. This is, in actual fact, 6X what they were worth 24 hours ago.

Buying 200 xcp at 0.006 BTC. This is, in actual fact, 6X what they were worth 24 hours ago.

Just the mere fact that no more XCP are going to ever be created makes them valuable as a first gen coin, and they're not a first gen coin. They are something much larger. I wouldn't even think of selling for anything less than 0.0075

A bet on xcp is a bet against Ethereum and Mastercoin.

I'm offering to give you 6X what you paid 24 hours ago, in BTC. Bitcoin is going to mars regardless of what anyone says. You cannot say the same for speculative projects. Every time I've invested my BTC into anything, it's been a mistake.

I will confidently add that 0.006 is a fair market price.

Please update spreadsheet with my new offer:

buying 240 xcp at 0.005  Cool

Are potential buyers discriminating against me because my name is Bitye West?

I haven't had one message or inquiry about my 800 XCP for 8 btc offer.

I have a total of 6856.81 XCP.  I'm just looking to sell enough to cover my initial investment of 6 btc.

I so wish i were you Shocked

I'm kicking myself for not going with my gut and investing 10+ bitcoins.

I was feeling conservative after getting raped by Dogecoin, Catcoin, Earthcoin (no more scrypt-clones for me)

I went all in. I know it probably seems stupid, but I put everything I got which wasn't much and nabbed 15,890 XCP. I probably won't sell for a month or so.

I went all in too. I think we made the right choice, but hold on to it a little longer and you might get more bang for your buck.

It's reasonable. I think more and more developpers will join in and advance the development, and then they will be donated after those investors make money.

I have posted a request for Volunteer Info:
https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php/topic,29.msg84.html#msg84

The more value we can add to XCP, the sooner the orders for 0.02 BTC will be filled.

The XCP core devs can't do everything themselves. If you have any time available then we can work together as best we can with our skillset to make XCP all that it can be.

PMs to multiple people are becoming hard to manage with the 6 minute waiting time.

Everyone contacting me, two things:

1. zero confirmation payments are a decent alternative to waiting for 1 confirmation in between payments. I'm not ghash.io, and that would be an epic heist to pull off anyway. Sending small amounts back and forth is worth considering instead of involving an escrow.
2. if you're looking to liquidate larger quantities (10+ BTC), i'm paying 0.003-0.005.
