Yeah , then you've understood why a 1 block difficulty target it's different.
KGW takes into account more past blocks?
Also even if you narrow it to 1 block from 8 , you can still be left in the air by a multipool switching on and off.
And this doesn't happen with KGW because?
KGW tries to limit the huge spikes when hashrate is taken out(in) of some coin by creating an average and not allowing the difficulty to fluctuate that much.
So you won't have any spikes up or down but a slow adjustment , leaving multipools unable to take advantage like now.
Of course , even kgw is not bulletproof.
