Yes, cheap sardines for the whales  Smiley
It is a great shame because the people are selling in panic this AUR who is particularly damn hard to be mined

What have the whales been doing in the last 2 days anyway, all coins suck, it's awfully quiet out there.. plus there was the "test-pump" of two days ago 0.026 to 0.054 in seconds...

Uhm...

whats the airdrop everybodys talking of ?
this coin has a air drop scheduled there are 3 stages each stage lasts 4 months not instantaneous like the people screaming scam would like everyone to believe.
first stage all icelandic citizens can pickup the 31.8 coins reserved for them at the end of the first 4 months stage 2 occurs where any remaining aur are redeployed remaining coins divided by 330000 then any coins left after that progress to the final stage also lasting 4 months anything beyond 6% of the premine is destroyed verifibly that 6% is split 50-50% between the dev team and a charity to be decided by the aurora coin community.

you can read the dev's plan here http://auroracoin.org/blueprint.php

The trouble with this discussion is that most participants can't see the difference between facts and assumptions.

Let me demonstrate:

fact 1: The coin is 50% pre mined

I think we can all agree that this is indeed a fact. Now comes the transition:

Assumtion 1 (By the opposers): It's a scam because, the coin is 50% pre mined
Assumtion 1 (By the supporters): Dev is honest because he directly confessed the coin is 50% pre mined

You see what happens? The fact remains in place, but there has been put an addition to it. It's this addition that disqualifies the frase as a fact.

Funny part is, you can use this neat trick also the other way around and turn an assumption into a fact, again a demonstration:

Assumtion A: "BitcoinEXpress is the most genius member of this forum!"

Again I think we can all agree that we could fill pages of discussions between supporters and opponents.

Now we do our little trick:

Fact A: "If all other members would leave, BitcoinEXpress is the most genius member of this forum!"

So.... Lets try to keep this in mind next time when we waste valuable time on opposing each others "facts".

Theres no shame if one disagrees, as long as we can agree to disagree agreeably!

Nicely said Sir!!!

Totally agree! I just hope the dev sees the real impact he can make with this coin and do the airdrop successful!

My offer to help him spread the coins still stands! I can travel to Iceland on my own money and help him!

WHY? Because I want to be part of history!

If I had an aur for every post about "airdrop" or "50% premine" I'd be a millionaire now.

Ummm.... if I put the word "not" at the appropriate place in a sentence, it will kinda mean the opposite. So what? English is designed like that. I dont understand what you are trying to say. 50% premine is a fact, and all the people know that... those following this forum atleast. Are you saying people are trying to change that "fact" into an "assumption" by adding another line to it? What does that even mean?

I like how this thread is pretty chill and civilized, people are actually supporting the cause.

I've also been following the Mazacoin thread and people there are always talking about making huge profits and pumping it up (or wishing for whales to do so), too many people there don't seem to care at all about why the coin was made, only to make a profit.

Hi,

I'm sorry for not explaining why I posted this. It is not to give a lesson on how to use English, also not to prove posters saying it's a scam wrong. I just felt that so many people seem to scream out that others are retarded because they don't see the facts and then start rallying up all kinds of assumptions as if they were the facts, hence my examples...

Really interesting speach from the CEO of CCP (The company behind EVE Online) about the Icelandic krona and what (bad) effects it's had on the company. The speach is in Icelandic but at 25:10 he says this:

Icelandic:
Quote
Ég hélt að planið væri að ganga í Evrópusambandið og taka upp evru, það er eitthvað bakslag í því og nú á annaðhvort að taka upp danska krónu, kanadískan dollara eða Bitcoin? Ekki ætlum við að nota krónu? Er það? Er það planið?“

English:
Quote
I though the plan was to join the European Union and start using the Euro coin, now there is a backslash in that plan and now were supposed start using the danish krona, Canadian dollar or Bitcoin? We arent going to use the Icelandic króna? Are we? Is that the plan?
