I think everyone here realizes that there is NO substantial buy support until you get down to prices at 10% of current price. Anyone or group of people who try to dump any large amount of coins now will have to seriously tank the price. Sure they could put in sell orders at high prices but I just don't see buyers falling for that given everyone is on edge right now curious to see what happens with the airdrop. Time for some more popcorn I guess.
I am confused why some people are claiming that all the Icelanders claiming their coins right now are getting ~$350 equivalent when there is no way more than a hand full could get even close to that if they sold all their coins right now.
Try to show some imagination. If you have the regulated crypto currency exchange open in New York, and investors can see Icelanders using ATMs and using Auroracoin in shops, then they will pull money out of poorly performing stocks and get in on the new game in town. That will make today's marketcaps look pretty small. Man you have some serious imagination I will give you that. All I stated was the facts of the current market. Nothing more. Nothing less. I am as curious as the next guy to see what happens here. I just hope the Icelanders don't end up worse off. We're all curious, Auroracoin has come a long way but it won't work if people in Iceland throw it away for whatever they can get for it. There is a story about the regulated exchange I'm talking about here: http://www.coindesk.com/inside-new-yorks-bitcoin-centre/ One thing that gave me confidence about the airdrop working is the fact that Moolah.io added Auroracoin to their merchant services a while back. If you're not sure what coins to buy at the moment, then look at what they are getting behind right now, if you look here: https://moolah.io/merchants/learn-more they have merchant support for Auroracoin, Bitcoin, Darkcoin, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Mintcoin and Vertcoin. I'm sure there are fund managers and the like looking at this unfolding market very carefully. It's too early for them to get in, but if we pick the right coins now, we will do well as more money comes in. If you were an investor, would you hold your shares in General Motors, or grab a slice of Iceland's new cyber economy?? Easy choice

Well, maybe I WAS wrong, looks like icelanders are cashing out and price is going through the floor Hmm so the first handful of Icelander's are trying to drive down the price before their countrymen can get a hold of theirs?? Way to go.. I'm selling my Quark and heading over to Cryptsy, I'll see how low it goes in the next few hours EDIT: Holy crap that Quark shows up on Cryptsy fast, AUR is hovering around .01988, I'll wait and see what happens now..

I've also added a population reach (currently 0.004% of Icelanders).

Looking for serious Icelander entrepreneurs to group-buy KNC Titan (100Mhs). Want to invest some AUR coins in these machine. (They accept AUR coins as payment) Please PM your previous mining experience and electricity/hosting/management costs for a business evaluation.

should be 0.4% Doh! good catch of my stupid mistake The blockchain seems stuck once again though, so not much action happening right now, but we may see some fairly big blocks once it moves again.

Block #5277 just went through with 963 drops http://chainz.cryptoid.info/aur/claims.dwsThe indicator is a bit skewed however, at least a couple transactions are not from the airdrop. I'll tweak the query to filter them out. edit: tweaked (negligible drop in airdrop count)

What makes you say that ? All I see is alot more sells than buys and barely any BTC volume to make a pump to 0.03 happen I think price will rise in a few days, when finally most people will come to terms with the fact that: -this coin isn't a premined scam -airdropped AUR are not gonna destroy the price -media coverage will be somewhat more abundant (if any)

I like how everyone assumes if you know about crypto you should be a regular user of bitcointalk and reddit everyday. Personally I can't stand reddit and if you looked at my history there you wouldn't find much either.

This implies auroracoin is already more popular than bitcoin, with 1% adoption. The crypto war has been won today. Thanks Balduro. Great idea. Best wishes to you. Many people have ideas, a few get to work to make things happen. You are one of those rare individuals.
