I sent some coins to an exchange a few hours ago. Not there yet. Will they get there on the next block? Or do I have to wait after multiple blocks?

Mulitple blocks. It depends on the exchange. With cryptsy I think it's 3 blocks.

Oh no, I'm so disappointed. I've been waiting for hours, staying up, wanting to sell before the price goes lower. This coin is killing me. But thanks, at least I can go to bed, even though I don't think I'll be able to sleep.

Those claim numbers are really very high.
http://blockexplorer.auroracoin.eu/claims.html
I'm seeing slightly lower numbers here
http://chainz.cryptoid.info/aur/claims.dws
as I filter out transactions where the 31.8 is moved after being claimed, but the numbers are still high, we're nearing a best case of 6% reach.

The claimed 31.8 are also now being moved out and split more and more, if there is scamming involved, it'll be easier to spot (scammer will consolidate his claims sooner or later)

"Airdrop" coins are being dumped.

This coin never had a sustainable value either way.
If you didn't sell weeks ago you were already too late.

Lol you idiot believers have no way of knowing if the dev and his friends are just transferring aur to themselves and selling it. All they need to do is make a new address for each transfer. Then use a different deposit address for each deposit to an exchange. They don't need to consolidate anything. Without complete transparency you have no way of knowing if the dev's are selling it all or not. Don't tell me you can look at the blockchain for transparency, if you think that is all that is needed you are either trying to scam or are just completely retarded. If you support this coin you are a moron.

They will be (very very likely) on the next block. But the question is how many confirmation does your exchange require to process cash-in. Soo still could take some time, if they e.g. wait for 3 or 4 confirmations.

Yeah, 5% of Icelanders claiming coins and not getting them, because diff is broken. And if they get them, they can't spend them. Thats how you build trust in your coin, especially with people new to crypto currency.  Angry

Those claim numbers are really very high.

http://blockexplorer.auroracoin.eu/claims.html

This can mean many things... could be scamming involved could be just the Icelanders. I don't know to be honest.

Could someone from Iceland give an opinion as to wether it's believable that 5.63% (18,000) Icelanders claimed their coins (or had them claimed by a familiy member or friend).

You should just ask where the Icelanders are. For example there are 1400+ Icelanders in this facebook market group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/544259455688424/?fref=ts

AUR has been in the news, day after day. Iceland only has 2 channels that do news reports, and none of that 24/7 reporting you have elsewhere. There are 2 nightly 20 min news shows people watch at 18:30 and then 19:00.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCMsSdMo2ME
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Weh8dBL4kmk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjTsIuHkT6U
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pyz_zFcuhDw

It will also be discussed on Saturday, in a show called "Stóru Málin" (The Big Issues) on Stöð 2.

Also: Why doesn't someone do a poll in Iceland at some point?

Balduro much respect to you! Smiley
You did a masterpiece sometimes it takes times before good work is recognized I hope Icelanders will and the crypto community will follow.
To me it is clear that to the strong powers that rule the world economy and lives are saboting the full cryptos and countries coins in particular.
Will we be able to take things around? Let's hope for the best.
Just wanted to state here clearly that you have done a fantastic job!

Hi Nite69, what do you make of BTCX claims that he is going to destroy the blockchain at 5400, any validity to the threat..should current coin holders worry much about it ?  thank in advance

Why another exchange?
We are not your usual hobby programmer hiring some people to make a "secure" exchange. We are a company of trained professionals, based in Austria.
We guarantee a level of security a single individual would not be able to.
But yet, there are various reasons why we focused our resources on this crypto exchange:

  • Security!*
  • The design is simple, not dark and also not too colorful. It was made to provide a neutral environment for maximum usability.
  • Multiple order options including (but not limited to): Fill-or-Kill, Immediate-or-Cancel and Iceberg - multiple order types can be applied!
  • Market and Limit orders (as you may know from Forex)
  • A variety of Charts to reduce the time required for monitoring and watching to a bare minimum.
  • Charts scale with the browser window-size for maximum screen-efficiency and maintaing a balanced layout.
  • No personal data is being logged, because to us your privacy is as important as your security.
  • The project is based on highly scalable software and frameworks, to ensure the qualtiy of service even with increasing user counts.
  • We'll provide the world's first crypto currency index!
  • High volume traders benefit from our VIP Account program

* The main focus of this service is the provided security. A lot of effort went into planing and testing the application, to guarantee the much-needed security. All communications between you and the servers are encrypted.
A unique but yet fast withdrawal process secures your assets way more efficient than email confirmations, making this technique obsolete.

What about the name?
Swaphole is a one-of-a-kind service, we simply do not want to be your next best exchange, and the name simply reflects that fact.

Still unsure?

You can contact us here:
