What hell it was on mintpal?? Someone bought all orders to 0.007
I see also a bright future for Aur, I have no BTC to buy but hold my 100Aur for a long time investment some of the initial promoters are out. Check their posts, they are working on other coins (capturing and promoting new investors). Some of them didn't change their nickname. Amazing. Looks like this coin never was a real proposal. Nobody cares about it now. unfortunately and fortunately I drop the coins in the middle of the downhill. A good lesson for everybody. (looser and winners)

I see also a bright future for Aur, I have no BTC to buy but hold my 100Aur for a long time investment I have a similar amount of AUR, I'm holding also for a long term investment. I've been putting money into Cryptos since December last year, and as the value of Bitcoin has dropped, I've transferred to alts with two strategies in mind. About half of my investment so far has been put into coins like Auroracoin with plans for targeted distributions. I've downgraded my expectations for those, so I don't expect Auroracoin to reach pre-airdrop price levels at all in the next few months. The only 'pre-mined' coins I would consider buying more of at this point are Electronic Gulden and Isracoin, they are both flying under the radar with good development progress and can be a success independent of Auroracoin. The other half of my investment has been put into coins like Darkcoin, Vertcoin, Quark, Mintcoin - coins that offer technological improvements or significant differences to Bitcoin. I don't think you can say Auroracoin is over by any means but unless you are prepared to wait for a few months I would be looking elsewhere.

I think Niothor get's it very well Bohemian, so far he has been critical, but never irrationally negative. And it's true that the coin had a way to high exchange rate when it hit $ 90, but that only lasted one hour. For short term speculants this might have been a nasty meal, but that is not the way I see it. Apart from the fact I traded well on this, I also back the coin's initiative long term for the opportunity it grants.
I don't care if it stays around $1 for a long time, it will in the end become clear to the greater public that this coin hold enormous value in terms of acceptance and adoption. This is what will make Auroracoin one of the most successful coins in the history of Crypto. Eventually it will serve long term bag holders well!
Oh LTEX I just love this.... The people having a fee AUR are mad at me and calling me troll and others while you , in your position , are seeing what's really behind my posts. Really , we should have met on a different project , and maybe , before coins started to be 95% trade and 5% what is really important. Back to the topic : Does anyone have some statistics about nr of transactions per day? Answering my own question: http://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/transactions-aur.htmlI can't see any real increase in transactions after the airdrop. And remember that out of those 800 , 200 are block rewards. What can I say, I like polar bears Let's see what future projects bring...

And remember that out of those 800 , 200 are block rewards. What can I say, I like polar bears Let's see what future projects bring... Well , I must admit the coin was launched not in an optimal period. This whole China fud , a lot of new projects (half already turned scam) , this also helped driving out a lot of hype. Then the clones came (one already a scam (Aphrodite-Cyprus). This was a bit unfair for the coin , I'll admit. Little interest from the bag holder on actually starting business in Iceland with AUR , of course that is normal since most of the people holding coins are not Icelanders.... Interesting project but not anything else. It needs a miracle to get back , and miracles are rare , or they demand a lot of $.

Thanks! Confirming this works. Finally managed to get the 31.8 AUR How secure is this against people trying to game the system? This is the system the government uses for its services, and is run by a government agency, so it is a robust as you could expect from such a system. In order to use it you need to apply for a password through your online banking or through the mail. That is then tied to your kennitala. If you are abroad, you can get access through an Icelandic embassy. Alternatively you can use the chip on your debit card along with a smart card reader to sign in, or if you have a special smart SIM card on you phone, you can use that as well. People should be able to use this system to claim for their children as well.

Is no one paying attention? In essence the Icelandic government is now helping its citizens get AUR! It's government endorsement of a crypto currency!
