I have seen there have been various recommendations to your question and I wanted to give my piece of advice in case you still look for an alternative.

Looking at the date of your post this might seem impractical but it would work for the next time:

• Use stop loss after you buy in a crypto. This way you would be able to sell your altcoins at a minimum loss. Google search for stop loss but you may find the below article very helpful which is written by an experienced crypto trader:
