I have cancelled all the pending trades where any of you have tried to buy ALTcoins using available BTC on the website, I will now transfer those BTC into a new balance called pending BTC so that new deposits will not be effected by the old mishap. Once that is done you have two options to withdraw those pending BTC either get shares from cryptostocks for that BTC or wait for slower withdrawal process to get back your BTC



Update 11/03 : Its been almost a week since some of you are waiting to withdraw your BTC, I covered as much as I can from my own pocket. Those who are not aware on what actually happened let me tell you, Someone manipulated the system and credited his account with fake BTC and then he bought coins from those who were selling them this credits the account with fake BTC thankfully the guy who manipulated was not able to withdraw alcoins or BTC because of manual withdrawals. Now everyone wants to withdraw BTC which they have in their account which actually doe not exists. At the time all this happened I tried to be nice to users and thought that I can cover everything from my pocket that was a big mistake, for a moment I had a thought to reverse these fake transactions, I wish I would have done that.

Situation at the moment : I have refunded BTC withdrawals to respective accounts so it can be used to buy alt coins. Except BTC all other coins withdraw working fine.

What is the plan now :

• Raise some funds quickly
• Pay the users back what is left
• Get more secure website code

When :

BTC withdrawals will start within the next 24 hours
For the instant the current code of the website will be fixed for more security but a complete new code will be implemented very soon.

This is the update regarding delayed withdrawals

Today when I logged into the website the first thing I found  1 Auroracoin = 3000 BTC kind of strange I then checked the transactions and other audits to find a bug in the script due to which someone credited his account with 260 BTC fortunately he was not able to withdraw them because of manual withdraw confirmations. But what he did is bought millions of coins on high price this ultimately credits the account of seller with BTC and the seller is innocent here. Now we have withdrawal request of more than what we have as BTC stock. But nevermind we are filling it up and paying to those who are left. We may need some time for this(I am not asking for weeks) like a couple of hours. Current status : Only 10 BTC withdrawals are left which is not more than 7 BTC and will be paid soon.

For a few days my browser was going from fast to snail pace, cpu over 30%. Did all the usual tricks to speed up my browser.

Today it happened again.

Had many exchanges opened and one by one i logged out, watching the cpu and logged back in.

Came to pmtocoins and logged out and my cpu dropped instantly to under 5%. Others exchanges are busier than pmtocoins and doesn't consume that much cpu power.

How you can run this cain of buissness if there is no way to cantact with you? How it is possible? Peoples are puting real(crypto but still real) money there? I sent you few times my IP address by mail, i lost a lot of time to unban my account how you can deal with this? Time = money, who will pay for that?

PS: with this approach, you will be a niche marketplace where no one sells and you will die in few months or even weeks. It is so hard to setup SMTP server or create mail box and replay to your clients?

Slow withdraws are the one aspect of this exchange that I feel is hurting its popularity.

I had a withdrawal pending for 15+ hours only to have it canceled and my account recredited. Now I need to start the process all over and hope I need not wait several more hours. Sometimes quick transactions are crucial and with this exchange you cannot trust that it will be timely.

All of the markets I've looked at so far have sell prices well above the rates on other exchanges. In addition, there's very little volume, so any decent sized amount of BTC (0.1+) will require multiple orders to be filled at even higher rates. You are basically asking us to take a loss by buying altcoins. I want 100% of my BTC, not 40% once I buy an altcoin and convert back elsewhere.

Also, what happens once those orders are executed? My BTC goes to the seller's account, so don't you have exactly the same issue with the lack of BTC to offer for withdrawal? The only way it would work is if it's your own inventory you're selling off at inflated rates.

I originally had a withdrawal request over two weeks ago but admin canceled that request and refunded my balance without my input. I re-initiated my withdrawal request and after it sat for a few days with no action being taken I canceled and tried to exchange my BTC into LTC which was partially filled. After waiting a day hoping to exchange the rest for LTC and having no success I once again re-initiated a withdrawal request. That request has been patiently waiting to be filled. If I had not managed to get a fair amount of my total balance out of the exchange in LTC I would be a lot more upset.

0.13 BTC. I can imagine getting nervous, especially when wanting to withdraw higher amounts.
But I do think the owner is doing everything he can to fix this. I actually just read the opening post and got to know about the current situation.
Maybe its a good idea for the time being to limit BTC withdrawals so more smaller withdrawals can be made and people at least move their balance partially around?

Assuming you're serious, I think it's going more than a little overboard to dox the admin of pmtocoins. This isn't mtgox.

Here's my suggestion on how to fix the situation.

PMtoCoins should convert ALL markets to LTC (and close the BTC/LTC market). This way everyone would be trading with coins that exist instead of imaginary BTC that you currently don't have in your possession. The admin could then trade the collected LTC fees to BTC to pay the debts.

This would make sense, since there are currently several markets on PMtoCoins (BEE, CAGE, CHE, EMO, EMU, FAC, FCK, GRUMP, KARM, LMC, MOON, NUT, PANDA, PENG, RBBT) that are no longer feasible for BTC market and have been converted to LTC markets on other exchanges.

Also I think it's absolutely necessary that you make the current process of paying BTC debts more transparent and organized. You need to post a list of withdraw id's and how much they are still owed. Then you process the withdraws in numerical order, not randomly based on people asking for their BTC. People would know when their turn will be by comparing their withdraw id against the list and also see that you are actually paying them out, although slowly.

7) You collect BTC fees and pay out the "BTC2" withdraws with it.
And there's also another extra possibility :
You can create a BTC2/BTC market where people can try to sell their BTC2 for real BTC, obviously at a lower price, to try to get money that you can actually withdraw without waiting. Some who have some faith left in you paying out the debts in the future could invest and buy BTC2 at for example 1.3 BTC2 for 1 real BTC.

And since your exchange can't handle LTC based markets at the same time with BTC based ones, I think you should close the markets I mentioned above that are no longer suitable for BTC.

It's nothing like mtgox. New BTC withdrawals would work just fine, it's just the old users who can't withdraw their old BTC, except that with this solution they maybe can. If the admin doesn't do anything, they will never get any of their money or it will take a long long long time.

Little late for that. That has already happened and something needs to be done. Halting all trading and stopping the whole exchange won't do shit towards getting the users paid. The admin obviously can't pull 30 BTC from his ass, especially in india where 1 BTC is a hefty months salary.

This seems to be after the problem with the orders was found, so I guess it's genuine. If it was a sale, and genuine, I'd like to say: well played, Sir, well played. If you extrapolate that to the size of a block (35 CON/COINO), each block is worth 3.5 BTC!!!

Incidentally, market history seems to have stopped after 2014-03-14 ? I have completed orders showing in my personal history, but they don't show on the market page.

You can see the trading history since the listing at March 13th. Since then there are trades totaling only 1.2959 BTC (12,959 shares). There's still 369,464 shares for sale, so seems like there has been only 382,423 shares initially for sale, unless there's some way to sell those shares secretly. If there was 490,000 shares released to the public, there's 107,577 shares missing.

Also, it says "dividends will be paid 1st of april". How can there be anything to share if the site is some 30 BTC on the negative?

Is there going to be a report that shows all the transactions, operational costs, etc? How would the share holders even know if they're getting their fair share?

The info page says "The money raised during the IPO will go towards expansion of the site (advertising) and to hire additional resources to provide additional security and customer service.", there's nothing about it going towards paying out existing debts. Not telling about having huge debts and the financial situation of the exchange is straight up lying.

Of those trades 10 were performed by me. There's not a lot of fees to share, sorry shareholders waiting for dividends on april 1st. (I have some ~150 shares myself)

I have been waiting almost a week for a tiny BTC withdrawal amount.

Today I have been advised to review this post and come to find out "the truth" of the matter.

Now here is something to consider in light of all the information on the table.

NO WHERE is there full disclosure on cryptostocks where they are now trying to do an IPO that the firm is currently insolvent and in debt to depositors. Their intent is to deceive which shows the lack of character of the people in charge!

I can understand unforeseen circumstances occur and lack of experience and expertise can cause losses but it is how you handle things that matters in the end. Poloniex and Vircurex took big losses but they made this public on their site. They moved lost funds to an owed account while explaining the choice is to fold up or handle it in that manner. They handled it the best route possible.

Now in this case with PMto all they do is ignore the issue and leave your withdrawal in pending status. The site sucks and the service is even worse. With all of reputable exchanges that are available this one should just go out of business as the idiots running it haven't a clue!

If you weren't aware, the exchange does not have enough BTC to give out (because it was hacked) and the admin doesn't have that kind of money.

You can put up a request to withdraw the Pending BTC but it will take ages to clear.

When the site got compromised the hackers purchased alt coins at inflated value.

The majority of customers on the site benefited greatly from this and caused a inbalance in the BTC that was available and what BTC was on customer accounts.

I could have reversed all the transactions but I have taken responsibility for this issue and decided to pay everyone what they are due. I planned to use the BTC earned from the fees as well as the cash injection from the share release to assist in this.

I have personally used up all BTC that I had to pay out customers. This was not enough. So I had to make the hard decision to make a new balance called PendingBTC so to "restart" the BTC balance.

Currently BTC withdrawals are handled promptly. The PendingBTC balance will be paid out in time. The people in this thread that are complaining about this really needs to think about how much their alt coins would have been sold for if this hack did not occur. This should indicate how much BTC they should have not what they see.

So to sum up, everyone will get paid in time from profits but people have to be patient

Total 120k shares were sold out of which 110k belongs to someone who I know very well and I will settle this down with him personally rest few people bought 10 shares few bought 20 so IPO doesn't really matters, if the IPO was a success this might have helped the website recover something.

 For me this exchange is a joke. I put there 10mln GRUMPy. After one day was trying to login there 3 times and they ban my IP address. I was trying to contact with admin: admin@pmtocoins.com - found this mail at site with info about ban IP and saw this message:

190.93.241.182 is owned by Cloudflare Latin America, and is the same IP as the website, so that's probably a dead end. I guess they proxy mail as well as web.

I've found some reference to another server which seems to have delivered mail from pmtocoins in early March 2014...

crookservers.net (what a strange business name   ) appears to be an OVH reseller.

I wrote a simple script to trawl through the debug.log of each of the 60+ altcoins I have running and the IP 37.187.137.156 appears several times-

karmacoin
klondikecoin
krugercoin
memecoin
thepandacoin
zeitcoin

... so I guess it's possible that this server was a wallet for pmtocoins, perhaps even the web server too.

If anyone's into social engineering, it's time to sweet talk the staff at crookservers...
