Villa are a really strange team, they often get totally dominated but then find a way to score goals and win. It’s a great trait to have but they remind me of Nottingham Forest last season. They do not convince me at all.

I have only one word to say for Aston Villa this season, AMAZING!
Beating Chelsea is never easy, and it is even harder doing it on Stamford Bridge.
Lets see what they can do against mighty Arsenal in next round at Emirates stadium.

Emery's magic is increasingly felt for now because this season Aston Villa's performance is increasingly looking quite effective especially for their excellent teamwork.

One thing I like about Aston Villa's game today is their presing that does not slacken at all. They know that they won't be able to keep up with Chelsea's game from possession but their pressing and counterattacks are so good that even though Chelsea controlled the field but Sanchez was busier keeping Chelsea's goal from conceding than Martinez in this match.

With Chelsea's defeat, Sunderland now have high hopes of overtaking Chelsea and Manchester United temporarily when they get a win in the match against Leeds tomorrow.

Chelsea 3/1 odds to finish in top 3 also look very generous but I hate long season outright bets unless I'm placing something on 50+ odds.

I think Aston Villa can finish in top 3, but it depends how long they stay in Europa League and balance different competitions.

Yes, long long season left and teams like Aston Villa just like Newcastle when they were fighting, will eventually finish outside. As soon as they have to spread squads across cups and Europe, they start to lose their effectiveness.

Good news for Aston Villa tho seems like Ollie Watkins is delivering again!!

A first LFC game missed in a while, I was traveling yesterday. Just watched the full replay and fuck me, that was a terrible 2nd half performance.
Overall barely good enough for the win against the worst team in the league.

It's Leeds next, with Calvert-Lewin in insane form, smart money is on him scoring.
Hopefully we have enough to win the game - not sure how we're in the top 4 with such performances so these games at home against 'small' teams are a must-win for us.

I was checking next round and I cant believe the odds on Aston Villa against Arsanal 
I know home team is favorite but I really see value in some asian handicap for Aston Villa

8 for Aston Villa who even their last defeat happened in early November and in the last 2 matches they managed to beat Chelsea and Manchester United? Its insane.

Even if the opponent is Arsenal who are currently top of the table and they are home but those odds are crazy enough for me.
It's just that for betting I personally will also think again for times 2 because this match can be unpredictable so even if it's a big enough odds but for 1x2 I might make this single as a lucky experiment. But for multi bets I would prefer to make this match as BTSS or over 3 because for me this is still possible to happen.

This is the type of bet I make all day every day. Probably was a good season to do it against Liverpool for a stretch too, or even against City. In fact, Brighton 10/1 to Arsenal was also a bet I took -- just that this season has been a lowtide one for me, all out of time and shy with the cash.

That said, I have to really buck up and sniff these out when I can in 2026. Too much money sitting on the table that I'm not taking (haha).

P.S. Who else is missing Sportsbet boost? That 8/10 is easily 9/10 once you apply boost (and the old Superboost days? 15%? I can't tell you how much I made just with that extra every big game or acca).

And why are you not using them? I know boost is still active since I use it daily as well as multi insurance. Superboost is maybe a thing of the past, not sure if I have seen that one recently. Just wrote in another thread, tried to move away from SB, but nobody else is giving me anything close to SB via bonuses so I am still using them.

This Boxing Day match is interesting, there may be two teams for the massacre that they need to win... it's about the points that they continue to chase.

Previously Arsenal lost and this time they meet, Aston Villa are at the top of their game which is hard to beat, the Gunners may hope to knock them out.

Liverpool a few weeks ago held Leeds to a 3-3 draw because at that time the performance was poor, this time it is somewhat different where Liverpool has risen... it should be at Anfield tomorrow can be scary for the opponent to be able to win for the host.

Very strange odds, yes. 2.60 on Aston Villa Double Chance looks like a value bet. Aston Villa have eight consecutive Premier League wins (including victories over Arsenal, Chelsea, and United) and 11 in all competitions. It would seem that such consistency should be respected. But bookmakers are pretending that this is just another game against a team from the second half of the standings. It’s good that we don’t have long to wait and tonight we’ll find out what the catch was.

I didn't get them the last few bets I used. This used to happen to me every few months. As in, account got restricted from promos like Superboosts etc and the odds got lower. I know this because I would open the same page without logging in and see different odds. Would be a simple "Hey Steve, help me out" haha.

As has been usual this season, when we have one previously injured player returning we lose at least one or two. Havertz is expected to return this matchday or the next and now there are rumors that Rice has a knock and is a doubt. Th medical team have to take the blame for this, the injuries we have gotten even in trainings and warm ups have not been isolated incidents. You cannot have a group of players injured at every point in the season man.

I hope he is not risked today. As much as there is a lot resting on this match, there is still a lot of the season yet to be played and Rice is pivotal to a lot that we do.We have enough depth in squad in the midfield to win. COYG!!!!!!

But it cannot be denied that this kind of betting condition apart from requiring a high level of confidence also makes betting a little more hopeful for luck. It's just that the positive thing is that we can bet with a slightly higher atmosphere


We're only halfway through the season, it's always bleak and in recent weeks I've felt that way too but there's still another half of the season waiting.
For the matter of opportunities like this there will definitely be in 2026 especially with the world cup on the horizon. I've even experienced winning at odds of more than 50 when Saudi Arabia won against Argentina at that time but the bet was too small because it was just testing luck.

Arsenal's first half against Aston Villa was still 0-0 but I still wanted to finish the Chelsea match before switching even though I was furious with what Chelsea had done so far.
Chelsea's match today was not much different when they faced Aston Villa last week where the possession of the ball was quite large but they themselves were troubled in defense.

Generally a good round for the LFC fans if we do manage to win against Leeds on Thursday. Would push us 5 points ahead of Chelsea in 4th - and they honestly looked terrible against one of the league's worst defences recently.
Whenever they rotate a few players (and they have 60 of those) you have a feeling they don't know how to organize a meaningful offensive play.

There is nothing to doubt for Arsenal... I thought last night's game would be tough, in the second half it was Aston Villa's undoing with 4 goals first, before Ollie Watkins scored as well, it was crazy the Gunners slaughtered the team that had beaten them... the score expectations were not this way but tight.

Enzo Mascara is still without a working starting lineup and this is his second season - I agree every time he comes with his roulette the team becomes more terrible and he keep doing it hoping for a different results.

Who would have predicted that Liverpool, that had gone 6-7 games without a league win, would be 5 points clear of Chelsea in December? Yeah, I did. I bet on them finishing in the top 4

Manchester united have a better squad than us - they have the experience while we have the numbers. A good manager and they'd start competing for the league title.
