Where it gets interesting is because Aston Villa won the EL, if they lose to Man City and Liverpool beat Brentford then Aston Villa drop to 5th. In that situation 6th place will also qualify for the CL so it would open up the door for Bournemouth or Brighton to play in the CL for the first time in their history.

I had been seeing talks of Liverpool needing to drop down and I was a little confused and too lazy to google. This means that Vllla finishing in the top 4 will be no good for 6th position, just like us possibly winning UCL and being 1st. You need to be out of the traditional top 4 places to give the league an additional spot if you win an automatic qualification tournament.

With nothing to play for, partying all week, Villa should lose to City. Liverpool last home game should win. I hope it all falls into place and Bournemouth get into the Champions League. That will be life changing for the club and they have deserved it. They just have to not lose on the final day.

If I was a Chelsea fan I’d rather miss out on Europe altogether. If it’s not the CL, I wouldn’t want to be in it. It means Thursday night and Sunday/Monday PL games all season. It’s disruptive and I wouldn’t want it.

It's really difficult to say what's worse. I can agree that you don't really wand Conference League distraction - but you also don't want a 1 game per week rhythm as a top club.
You have players that need minutes, reducing the squad is tricky because you hope to play CL next season and need good players - and you also want your team to be used to the 'game every 3 days' rhythm.

I think Chelsea will try to push for a European spot - but to be honest, Sunderland will surely want it more.

The last time we played in the Conference league competition we didn't use more than 5 of our senior starting players until the final so basically we were doing the 1 game per week "rhythm" for 90% of our players.

If it's Conference league I'd gladly let Sunderland have it; they deserve something this season.

Romero has left the club because he is no longer fit to defend? Everton are sometimes a difficult team to beat despite some poor games, but Spurs are the same so we have a feeling that this game could be a draw.

Satisfying end to a long long season. The Arsenal has been the most consistent team in the league for 4 seasons now while also proving to be a power house in Europe. The coveted EPL trophy has just managed to elude us for a while, not anymore; BEST TEAM IN THE LAND.

And now as a huge pressure lift off the shoulder of the players and more funds to invest into the project, we will be going into next season as Champions, this season's signings will be more blended into the team, potential reinforcements will boost the squad and again importantly, there is no pressure of if we can get it over the line.
My early prediction will be that we will be Champions again, but we will just focus on savoring this one for now.

The UCL trophy?. We have achieved all our targets for the season but if you have a one off match to be the best team in Europe for the first time, it is a big one.
Whatever happens, we belong here now.

Alonso could attempt to do a Slot and win it first time of asking. I am all for any challenge next season, I know that will be the next media narrative, if we can go win it again but I am also sure the team can manage that pressure easily and do what they have been doing for the last years, compete. That for me is the greatest effect of Arteta as manager, we always compete, rarely get off seasons where we just fall off and struggle to make top 4.

Yeah, actually a lot to play for. I'm in 9th and looking comfortable to secure a top 10 finish - but it's a weird round in which a lot of upsets (and crazy scores) will happen.
It's a 1000$ or nothing round - so I really hope I'll do good with my picks. You're 4 points behind which sounds just about enough to keep you at bay.

I really should’ve trusted my instincts instead of following the odds I saw. In the last minute before Superbru locked the predictions, my original picks were Wolves to beat Burnley, Man United to beat Brighton, Aston Villa to beat Man City and Sunderland to beat Chelsea. Imagine if I hadn’t changed them... I think that would’ve been enough to take back 1st place again.
