In my opinion I am beginning to believe that all the funds that were suppose to get into bitcoins for it get to a higher price are diverted to purchase ICOs tokens and this might be the cause of bitcoin fall. If I have bitcoins, and I spot an ICO that has a potential to be the next great coin, I will probably sell my bitcoins for it, and this I think is part of the cause of bitcoin fall. What do you think ?
You would be increasing the price in most circumstances, unless there are people who are immediately taking their BTC and selling it for ETH and those people in turn choose to sell the BTC for fiat immediately, the only way there would be a decrease in Bitcoin is if no-one wanted it at all. It's not the fault of the ICO, maybe it's the fault of Bitcoin not being as big as it used to be.

but when you invest in ICO`s the aim is to collect more btc and at a some point of time you buy the btc again when you sell the coins from Ico`s, so the reason may be not the ICO`s but there is no liquidity in market and no new money enters into it.

Yeah, because the volume goes to altcoins. Causing the price of Bitcoin to decline. That's why when altcoins are dumping, Bitcoin is rising.
But what happen right now is different. It's massive sell out which caused by nonstop FUD that caused the panic sell. And the futures expiration fueled the sell out. ICOs are not the reason why it keeps falling right now. But it can affect the price of Bitcoin. There so many factors that could be a cause of fall of Bitcoin. Not just ICOs. There are manipulators(whales), hacking and FUDs.

Anyway, people buy ICO tokens to make some profit because Bitcoin alone is making your money sleeping. ICOs can make your capital 10x or even more. But at the end of the day, they will sell it for Bitcoin.

If in my opinion it's not because of ICO token coin, it can not be the base of bitcoin down.
so far bitcoin to down due to many bad issues that spread, resulting in everyone selling panic and eliminating some bitcoin users. everyone is looking the bitcoin movement lately and waiting to enter the market at the right time.
if there is a good breakthrough from bitcoin so that it can attract people to re-use bitcoin then I'm sure bitcoin will rise back to the moon.

I may say is not, ICO's doesn't make bitcoin price causes into falling and there is no connection with buying tokens from them. The most common reasons of its huge decline are FUD's creation and market manipulation by whales. It happens that some investors(whales) sell their coins in cheap price that affect the entire market.

If they can profit more in investing to new tokens why not invest to new ICO. Its not illegal anyway so people will jump into ICOs like the telegram ICO. There are lots of potential ICO which is why they did invest to them. No one is forcing anyone to stick to BTC or to ETH.

Well that is somehow right for the successful ICOs since these altcoins are being created with special features that will attract people to their side. People may invest to them as their reserve when worst comes to bitcoin

You are right, everyone can freely choose where they want to invest. Also I do not agree that icos cause of the recent bitcoin fail because as we can see all alts decreases too and new icos don't have assurance of becoming successful.

that is a small part of the cause of bitcoin falling, I see today that investors are more interested in ICO investment than investing in bitcoin, thus making bitcoin difficult to rise.

but I think that bitcoin is still become the standard altcoin price in the crypto world. so although many investors are investing in altcoin, the altcoin will not go up and high, because bitcoin still has not recovered.

oh boy i am telling this since aoens, bitcoin is losing for many reasons, its not alone anymore more that gets investor support,

and its not really designed to help the people in the long term,

bitcoin is designed like ramcoin that cannot be touched by the banking cartels.

your title can be correct but not this part.
it is actually a little different. as ICO tokens are getting  dumped and also a lot of the big shitcoin such as Ethereum are getting dumped, the money exits (flees) the market and it mostly does it through bitcoin. meaning they dump ICO tokens and shitcoins for bitcoin and then they sell bitcoin to get their fiat out. that can cause bitcoin price fall.

first of all only an idiot thinks an ICO can be a great coin because they are not even coins! they are tokens reliant on another platform!
secondly when you invest in an ICO you don't "sell" your bitcoin for them. you simply invest bitcoin in that shitcoin. that  doesn't affect bitcoin price at all.

I think no because as i many ico was only depending on the price of bitcoin if they release their project in public ,and also the cause of falling bitcoin price are the investors of it and also the news about it either its good or bad its always reflected to the price of bitcoin.

This is another failed theory on the reason for the fall of bitcoin. How do you compare the two different things to start with? Bitcoin goes up, altcoins also go up. The same also happens when the price is down. Now how is it that you believe that the shift of attention to altcoins has made bitcoin to collapse. Except you believe that it also makes altcoins fall too

Your statement is correct for a different reason. Almost 80% of these ICOs fail or they are a scam. So most new investors gets burnt or lose money on ICOs and then they stop buying Crypto currencies and bitcoins. I would rather say that it is the scam ICOs that are the cause for the Bitcoin price that are falling.

Also, when the ban on Crypto currency advertisements started, the price took a nose dive and most ICOs are linked to ERC tokens and Crypto currencies that are again linked to Bitcoin.  Angry

I think the price of Bitcoin rose dramatically last year because of a large amount of money flowing into ico. The reason for this year's drop in bitcoin price is because most of ico become scams. Investors lose confidence and no new money enters.

Yes it is possible, Because even if I have a good and potential ICO Coins I will sell my hold of bitcoins immediately to buy good potential altcoins. But I also have a look at why the price of bitcoins is falling and it is the groups or big investors who manipulate the price of bitcoin.

How?  And why some of alt is decreasing as well on this situation. ? By the way i don't believe pal that is reason behind why bitcoin fall, maybe you're wondering why other alt token from ICO is increasing while bitcoin is falling , actually base on my research the reason behind why some alt from ICO is increasing,  it is because some of holders from bitcoin always jump to ICO investment instead of keep holding on bitcoin  to recover their losses , which is the common reason as well why bitcoin constantly decreasing because of that manner.

I disagree.

If the money is coming from fiat, then the sequence goes fiat -> bitcoin -> ICO.

That sequence should increase the price of bitcoin against fiat.

I think the real issue is that ICOs have been waning ever since the SEC cracked down on them. And because there are fewer ICOs bitcoin (and ether's) price has dropped relative to fiat.

A lot of ICO is a fraud, but these projects have also entered the exchange, which will certainly lead to a loss of money for a lot of people, and a large number of people's profits are lost by a large number of people.
