Can I just put --failover-only in the command line and run cgminer before the launch and cgminer will connect when the pool goes live?
Ex:
cgminer --scrypt --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://duck.mining-road.com:3333 -u username -p password --thread-concurrency xxxx --intensity xx --worksize xxx -g x
Will this work to run CGminer 15mins before launch and the program will automatically connect when the pool is available?
Yes ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) if you have another questions don't hesitate. just want you to know that this didn't work for me. I ran this exact command line with my info 10 mins before launch and it never connected. The only reason I am mining is because the dog woke me up at 03:40 EST and I checked it out and re-ran cgminer. Working now. I don't know if you addressed this in the posts between now and then, jut thought you should know I connected at block 857 to your pool after following your answer, missing out on the previous blocks.

Little off topic: The DDOS attack currently under way is being rerouted to FBI home page ( http://www.fbi.gov/) so atm you're currently trying to DDOS them. To whoever it may concern.

You will have a lot of fun reading when you get around to it then...lots of fun. and o yea..there is one individual that has over 4000 blocks already all to him/herself.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State BlockNet can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State BlockNet to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State BlockNet.” - Joseph Goebbels

After some playing around with the client, I finally got it to connect. Windows client here: http://duckduckcoin.com/- Create a shortcut to duckduckcoin-qt.
- Right click the shortcut and click properties
- In the Target box, add the following on the end: -addnode=23.227.161.68:12121
- Target of the shortcut should look something like this: C:\Pathtoyourclient\duckduckcoin-qt.exe -addnode=23.227.161.68:12121
- Run the shortcut. It should start syncing and now it has cached the peers so you should be good to go without the shortcut.

Personal Mining Update:
I am Running 2,000 Khashes on Mining-Road
Waiting for them to fix the backend issues however, it doesn't seem to be affecting the shares and transactions!
All looks good.. rounded up about 25 different transactions now for the last 1 hour ~ Difficulty going up heavily tho... I'm acting now!

Meanwhile scryptominers pool is chargin us a hefty 2.5% TX fee ... which is nice ... for them.
Your math is off Tx fee on SCryptoMiners is: 0.00000010 DUCK sorry for your reading skills meant TX FEE not withdrawl fee. 43489 2014-02-11 08:40:52 Fee Unconfirmed 844 0.000001080000 43486 2014-02-11 08:40:52 Credit Unconfirmed 844 0.000053880000 43188 2014-02-11 08:38:44 Fee Unconfirmed 842 0.000000090000 43185 2014-02-11 08:38:44 Credit Unconfirmed 842 0.000004630000
may have exagerated a bit it's more like 2.2% so yeah ... pretty much 200% of what other pools are charging... good show lads. this again.
