Ethereum is better than Bitcoin?

It seems to me that in the market and forum everybody should aim whether to purchase 1 or at least 0,5 BTC or several decades of ETH (or some coins). Either coin is hype and contradictory, but they can bring good profit! So I go along with charlee lee, purchase at least 1 BTC, and then other altcoins you like!

Of course, the ethereum is much better, it has a lot of functions and it is blockchain of the second generation
But, bitcoin will still remain and will be in the first place, simply because he is the father of the crypto currency

Brian Kelly, the founder, and CEO of an investment firm focused on digital currencies BKCM LLC, believes that Ethereum will be a better investment than Bitcoin.
Brian Kelly, from his point of view, points out the following reasons:

👉1. Ethereum Futures Contracts
First, Kelly believes that Ethereal futures contracts or ETH Futures will soon be launched, as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially decided that the Ether is not a security. This action has removed the biggest obstacle for Ethereum – The 2nd ranked coin in market capitalization to institutional investment.
However, what Kelly does not mention is that launching the Future Ethereum could more likely to pull down the price of this second-largest cryptocurrency rather than help it.
Since the launch of the Bitcoin futures contract, Bitcoin’s price has plummeted and many blamed the use of investment tools to manipulate the market for this decline.

👉2. Augur
Secondly, Kelly pointed out that the Augur platform was one of the main reasons for Ethereum's rapid growth when compared to Bitcoin.
As described by the analyst, " It’s a decentralized prediction market. What’s interesting about this [is that] this will probably be one of the biggest decentralized apps on top of Ethereum. If [augur] doesn’t slow the system down, that can generally be a positive for Ethereum."

👉3. Proof-of-Stake Protocol
Finally, Ethereum's upgrade from hardware mining to software mining will drive the continued growth of the cryptocurrency.
Ethereum creator - Vitalik Buterin, also recently explained that Ethereum's scalability improvements to the layer solutions will multiply one to another - improving the number of users that the system can handle, which increase the processing capacity of up to 1 million transactions per second.
However, this refers to the fact that Bitcoin and Ethereum are not fully competitive. Upgrading the Ethereum platform is likely to serve more of a rivalry between competitors like EOS, while Bitcoin will remain its top position in transferring and storing value.

I do not know why people think Ethereum will become more popular than Bitcoin, but to this day bitcoin is still number one and in the future it will remain that way. Bitcoin is most popular among people, so I do not think bitcoin will be below ethereum.

Is ethereum better than the Bitcoin? Well, we can see from some sides. Actually, both ETH and BTC have their positive and negative sides. At least, Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency. It can be the first digital currency accepted in the world. The rate is higher than Eth.  But, Eth is faster and cheaper so that many people move to this altcoin. Well, it depends on your viewpoint exactly.

Both have good feautures and good potential of profit. However, it is been noted and proven that bitcoin has made the way for all altcoins and has been the basis when it comes to price increase which make it better than any other coin but this does not mean that ETH cannot mak its own good story in the future,too.

I do think that Ethereum is better in technology when compared to Bitcoin but I really don't know which one would be a better investment.
If the prices were to go up on the basis of technology then Ethereum would have surpassed Bitcoin long ago but this isn't the case.
Despite Ethereum being better technology wise Bitcoin is still up in price and I believe it will continue staying on top for quite a while.
I would place my bets on both the coins and wouldn't want to miss any chances on both of them.

 We have different opinion and belief for this two (BItcoin and Ethereum), people who have a huge investment for Bitcoin will depend Bitcoin what ever it happened. Beside Bitcoin is number one among ALT coin in the market, it has huge Volume of investment, high market capitalization, with good and stable market structures, high level of confidence from the investors, while, Ethereum just following the foot step of Bitcoin, one comparably clear is the price value of this two coins...please look at the market chart.

I think it depends on your knowledge about those coins, both coins have their own potential to grow. Some other says that altcoins today is the best for trading now because of it is increasing, while bitcoin today is decreasing its price, well, it also depends on your strategy, bitcoin today is good to buy because of its low price and there are instances that you can gain good amount in future. While in altcoins, I think it is good for short-term investments.

It depends on how you define rule. Bitcoin will most likely still have a higher value than ETH, but it's quite possible that ETH will increase in value at a faster rate than BTC.

The ETH project has its differences from the BTC project and they differ very much. So I do not see the point in comparing these projects. I think that the situation in order to fully pay attention to the difference of projects is not needed.

i think it will be fair not to choose between these two wonderful altcoins, they happen to be the best of all the cryptocurrency altcoin around and there is so much dependence on these two coins. the ethereum for example has a wallet where other altcoins that are erc20 enabled are stored and so the dependence of other coins on it. But if am to choose presently which i will go for between the two i will choose the bitcoin because of the present value but for long term i will choose the ethereum.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are two awesome cryptocurrencies. We know that the two coins become the major digital currency. They are valuable and very trusted. Both ETH and BTC are used for some transaction with its positive and negative sides. To say that ETH is better than BTC, I cannot say so. Because they have their own benefits and risks.

Yes. I think Ethereum is better than Bitcoin. Bitcoin’s sole purpose is to be the virtual currency of the internet, and uses blockchain to do this. Ethereum focusses on the bigger problem.  Vitalik had the vision of not only having a decentralised cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin) but also allowing decentralised applications to be created on the Ethereum blockchain that use Smart Contracts.
