Your right scammed projects is hard to detect but there are things you must do to prevent, do some research if kunti lang ang community nang projects wag na ituloy malaki ang chance na scam yan, research din muna ang mga advisor at mga tao na involve nang project para malaman kung legit ito, pasahin ang whitepaper nanh projects at roadmap.

it seems quite difficult to determine and see a fake or scam bounty program, but you can anticipate it with some options that you can find in this forum

yes it is very difficult to know the scammed bounty program at the beginning, it could even happen to a successful project on token sales like ETHBOOK.
we as bounty hunters can only surrender and bounty managers are also not to blame.

Then you should learn to judge whether the project is good or bad. First, whether the project is hot, second, whether the gtihub of the project is open source, third, whether there are many institutional investors.

Not just scams, but a lot more higher percentage of ICO's now resut in a huge dump and it is cheaper to buy at exchange after the dump!!

Yes, you sometimes get a bonus with the ico, but still, you would expect your coin to move upwards on release not hit less than ico price Sad

Scammed bounty campaign is really hard to detect but we should choose trusted bounty campaign because before to participate read the OP post then we should analyse it is right platform or scammed one. Many trusted managers are available in bounty campaign so we should choose trusted manager project really it is good supporting bounty campaign.

It's hard to find out that a certain bounty campaign is a scam. Even the most popular bounty campaign that seems very legit but later on you'll find out that it's a scam. I experienced that once. I was in that campaign for almost 2 months then suddenly I found out that they are no longer active and devs cannot be contacted anymore. That's how it is. We just let it pass and move on.

impressio turned out to be a scam dude. might wanna remove your sig and avatar

It is really hard to detect scammed bounty campaign.  After completing all the requirements to be able to get accepted in a bounty campaign, spending much time to participate in forums and not to mention carrying their banners, completing all the tasks and reports then all of a sudden you will just find out that you have been scammed already.  luckily I am not the only one but to think all participants did the same efforts as well as you did.  But it is really happening, lesson learned and could be just charge it to experience and move on.  If we could only find out at early stage if we were in to scam or a legit bounty campaign.  Who would really know anyway?

Scammed project or bounty campaigns are really hard to detect. For me, before I join a campaign I always look for their white paper and I scan the thread. Another thing is looking for a trusted campaign manager will do. We will not know exactly if the campaign would be scammed but it is just a best of luck.

To choose a bounty compaign, I advise you to look at the status of the manager on this forum. The higher the status, the more reliable. This does not give a 100% guarantee, but most of the scams come from managers with the status of Newbie.

See the ICO rating on sites such as ICOBench and others. Do not join companies with a rating below 60% (3.5 on ICOBench).

Do not join the company from any managers from Amazix.

P.S. In choosing a bounty, this free table can help you: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19fLkDCH0E4uOrYlgqAVixmCIOGupLl8cLRlwttvXsT8/edit#gid=0

Thanks for putting all this work in the table. I'm pretty new to the bounty scene and this helps me a lot. Cheers!

it is getting harder to know scam bounty from legit bounty campaigns, given that there is numerous ico out there doing bounties, but one must do research before getting into any bounty campaign. knowing the team behind it, find out the problems the project intended to solve,  if the campaign has a good use case, and they if they have a good hype too. bounties are really very hectic for one to waste his or her time. then get scammed.

Well, this guys also do made some effort for them to minimize the trace of being seen as a scam ICO.
You will have to be better than them at all times.
Looking at possible mistakes that they could have forgot into changing.
The team specially. Look for their legitimacy. Most of them have traces of what they have done before. If ever they are using another person then use skype to prove it was them. But mostly managers of the bounty should have taken care of this.
Only those who invest big amounts will do things like that, since we are bounty hunters we rely more on the manager.

Efforts.
We will be staying in one bounty for like 2-3 months mostly and we want those days to be as better as possible for payment afterwards.
Although we have the bounty managers to go through that we should also do our best to figure this out. At least just minimize the risk of it. ICO's are already risky and you dont want it to be more risky by staying on it for a long run without even knowing what the project is all about or who are the people behind it.

Yes, It is quite hard to detect a scammed  bounty campaign but I think its one of the risk of being a bounty hunter that once in a while there will be a scam bounty that will exist , we just have to be diligent in joining bounties so we can avoid those scam bounties.

It's not a easy task to identify scam bounties, we have numerous of them out there, after working all day and night, loads of reporting, carrying their avatar and signature up and down. At the end of the bounty, you will see no rewards for all your work.
For me to join any campaigns, the projects must have surpass their softcap.

It's not hard actually, you can see their project details such as websites, teams, roadmap, whitepapers, and other components of bounties.
You can find an originality from those things, and also you can choose a good bounty manager that handled the bounty.
From there you can avoid scam bounties as well

Like an investor do take your time to research about the project before investing your time on the bounty, what are the specific and realistic problem they are out to solve, ensure you know the amount of the token allocated for the bounty, I did a signature campaign sometimes ago at the end the highest person receive 200 number of the token, was painful and look like a scam but basically was because I did not take into consideration the token allocated for the bounty.Research like an investor before embarking on a bounty.

Yes, it can sometimes be hard to detect a scam bounty campaign because scammers are now using well packaged sites to attract participant that is why it is very good to be patient when choosing a bounty campaign to join and be patient while doing your research and follow what your inner mind tells you.

To choose a good bounty campaign make sure that the campaign manager have a lot of experience to manage the project dont join bounty that manage by newbie member,
Even experienced bounty manager cannot detect if the project is scam. There are some projects manage by legendary bounty manager e.g. hexcash, bitpenta.

It is surely hard to find a good bounty campaign if you have no idea how to differentiate a good project to a scam project. I agree on what is mentioned above that look at the campaign manager's status or reputation here in the forum because mostly good projects are hiring reputable campaign managers here but the thing is those managers are not part of the team so there's a chance that the projects that they manage is also a scam. So what you can do? Like what investors are doing, you should also conduct your own research about the team and the project, so where will you start? start checking the people behind it and read the whitepaper and collect all the important info about them. But again this will not guarantee that the campaign is not fake or scam but really helpful for you to decide which project to promote.
