I was pretty lucky with this one, this was the first launch I almost got right as a semi noob.
Exact same thing. Except that luck was not the only thing in the equation - there was a lot of hints for those who can detect them (catchy name, amount of pages on bitcointalk and volume on mintpal, the very fact that the money and the exchange sound the same...)

I was already in before I realised mintpal and mint were separate lol!

I started mining this the 6th but I only had 1.2mhps ~~ and then difficulty on my main coin went down so I had to mine that for a while... I regret that now!

diff is in the 70s now. I'm not selling my stash.
Just dropped to 57. According to the Coinwarz mining calculator with the current average block reward of ~125,000, you should be able to mine ~41,000 per day at a Diff of 60, which at the current price of 40 Sat would gross ~$10 per day minus costs per 1000 KH/s. IMO, that is the only thing that is keeping the price from climbing higher ATM. It's going to be an interesting week for Mint as the next halving draws closer. I suspect the diff wont stay there for much longer. Smiley

We should come up with a mascot or cartoon for Mintcoin. That would bring in so many other people and maybe make it more attractive to women. We need to get as many late adopters onto this coin as possible right now. They will take this coin to the MOON! We can sit back and make more when they invest and drive up the price. I like this alot.

Women like mint. A good name is worth a billion dollars and MINT is a great name for a coin! I told my wife about mintcoin and it wasn't long before she was on board with it. It is much more mature than doge.

All I know is, I got in late. I'm still mining with my pathetic 500GH, but I've only mined about 10k - I've xferred some BTC to Mintpal, and am awaiting confirmations. I'm going to buy a few (Idon't have very much to play with, only been in this for a couple of weeks.) I'm buyin' some more - even at this price. Put 'em in my wallet, and watch them multiply. Honestly, as I see it, long term, there is only one direction for these to go.

Anyone disagree?

Once added to cryptsy add at least 50% to price. The longer it takes the better Grin

Yes!  Too Far too fast.
There are still many coins left to come to market.   Keep it low.  I need to buy some back!

Please.  Get it under 30.  I need to reload.   Help a poor guy out.
Way too expensive up here, not for next week!   Get it lower.
Just let me sell some and then we can go for 20 sat Wink

While it's exciting watching MINT's rise these past few days... you need to keep in mind that when PANDA fell, a lot of it was cashed into BTC by Wolong over on Mintpal. It's no surprise then that shortly after those events transpired, MINT started its upward trajectory. Please note I have some MINT and I'm excited to see how high it can rise, however, it's also naive if you think all this growth is occurring naturally. The timing and certain people's positions entering that timing are a little too aligned for my liking...

Maybe I'm totally wrong in this, however, nearly every crypto is manipulated, and this is no exception. Again, this is nothing more than an opinion, however, like any crypto, never invest more than you are willing to lose.

It's better to get in late than not at all. While no one knows for sure what the future will be for sure, at least the MintCoin PoS offers a lot more for it's backers than the current popular Alt's. If the dev's are able deliver that message across, there is no telling how far it could go. At any rate I would much rather hold  MintCoin than Panda, DOGE, Dope or any of the other daily flood of scrypt clone alt crap that is driveled onto the masses.
