I am sure that it is possible to earn good money working in a cryptocurrency field. And participation in ICO investing is one of the best options for that. Of course there are many scams on the market now but worth projects exist.

I think it's still worth to invest in ICO project if you can find out good ICO project to invest in. But seem like it's really difficult to find out a good ICO at the moment while whole crypto market is being in downtrend and get hard to rise back . But don't worry if you're a professional investor so everything will be fine

From my personal experience, I concluded that I will not invest more in ICO as an investor. At least until the market is restored.
