Waiting on Cryptopia to bring their troll pool online and Nation wars to confirm port details for miners, troll network is having trouble finding blocks even tho "unknown" miners are throwing ~50mh at the network, not sure why the difficulty is behaving badly.
Multicoinpool has a couple mh but not enough apparently.

We've been trolling along for quite some time, but the difficulty adjustment is concerning, we should be back to solving blocks once Cryptopia brings their pool pack online, nation wars has been the longest running troll pool, they had to switch servers & I am just waiting for youngwebs to confirm ports so that we can bring the core troll miners back online. Hopefully this is just a lack of miners issue & not a problem with difficulty retargeting. |

@nation-wars we had a nasty bug with the e-mail system. This is all fixed now, and pool is working great.
As said we are the oldest pool around and looking forward to see some support with hashpower. We appraciate every khash/s. VARRDIFF is enabled and will allow even very fast miners to join.
On request we can make even higher DIFF port for NICEHASH miners (if required) currently we can support miners up to 50 MHASH/s without any issues. (this is per worker!)

Lol, hey regicide, isn't it nuts that we are pretty much the only 2 ppl active here. Is the word troll really that scary to crypto folks? I mean, Trollcoin is more legit than the majority of altcoins out there, sure it doesn't offer anything new but a quick google search & you realize it's being used & worked on. Not that I mind, just curious.

ive lurked here since this thread was started. I just read here most of the time, but I've noticed the steady work that's been put into it and it's funny because trollcoin is more legitimate than some of the other coins out there in terms of promised updates/features. I think if the coin cap was lower there would be people flocking to this, but I like the high cap it allows for a more fair distribution of coins. Just looking at some of the alt coin distribution for random coins on bittrex shows how unstable some of these coins really are if the top holder decides to dump at any time. And if we ever see the bitcoin will reach 10k nonsense claims, coins like this one will be the first ones people flock to after missing out on bitcoin. Most alts don't offer anything new anyway so it's not like that hurts this coin. If anything the newness gimmick isn't enough to pump coins to all time highs anymore, at least not while bitcoins price is like this.
I mentioned it last time and was told that the bot was being tested and I also talked about it in arkadeum twitch chat, but a coin like this could very well dominate the twitch field. Not just utilizing the coin for money matches, but having loyal viewers earn coins for watching their favorite streamers. There are some streamers that already utilize their own special currency or point system that allows users to earn points for watching the stream when it goes live etc.... And the streamers then tie these points to giveaways and the like. A similar thing could be done with trollcoin and the great part is trollcoin actually has some monetary value even if it isn't that much. It might encourage users to actively trade or utilize the coin more. Not only that but some streamers' channels are predicated on trolling in the first place.
I know hyper is a game currency that has a twitch channel that allows people to earn for tuning in. The distribution of that coin looks good on trex but I don't buy it. I know there is a big holder somewhere. The coin total is just far too small for someone to not have tried to grab a large amount whenever it was at a low point and coins like these encourage hoarding as if it's gold rather than actually being used as a currency. I know crypto can be divided into decimal points blah blah blah, but nobody wants to spend their dollars to own .02 of a coin while an early adopter has 100k+. It works for bitcoin because it was the first so that's why people are so into it wanting to see where it goes, but I don't think it is good for the longevity of an alt coin.
There might be a similar case here where all of a couple of users hold a massive supply of trollcoin (I have a couple mill myself which really isnt much at all) but I think there's opportunity for better distribution and more encouraged usage with coins that have a higher total cap.

Any coin that has "Troll" in the name is worthy of investigation in my book!  I've got a lot of reading to look through the history of this coin - with with over 2,000 replies in this thread and nearly 100,000 views, I would assume there has been a fair bit of interest in it. I would be interested to know if it seems likely that this will ever get onto Bittrex? I've voted for it on Cryptsy but there seem to quite a few coins with a lot more support on there atm. |
