Now the staking is working pretty darn good!
Although at the current price of troll I'm pretty sure the electricity cost of leaving this up for an entire year outweighs the earnings xD

Also, what does weight & network weight mean....
If I have half the network weight, does that mean half the coins staking atm are mine?

How does the static reward work? I get 7 Troll per...what exactly...wallet address?

Spencer explained it to me, but it all went in one ear out the other, he will let you know once he wakes up.

As I understand it, your trolls randomly hatch little troll babies when you keep your wallet hot. Heat is important, they don't hatch when cold.

Just know swap,But coin in wallet,How can i do?

What is your question?
More troll coin in my wallet,No node now,Can not send out,So can not swap!!

I think that's explained in that article about spos3 we didn't understand, something about 200 addresses, splitting, restaking, blah blah, maybe Spencer will have mercy on us mortals & explain it in engrish one day. But it's working as intended AFAIK & have been told.

Negligible, v2.0 isn't going to eat much resources.

I think Troll is Trolling me

simple explanation:
say you have 1000 trolls
after 777 blocks are found and your wallet is online for at least 1 hour, your 1000 Trolls are going to stake.
Depending on how big% of all staking trolls this is, you will get 7 trolls or a few times 7 trolls.
After this, you trolls are "staked" and you have now for example 1007 Trolls
Those 1007 Trolls need to mature again 777 blocks, and the staking continues.

I have made several independant deposits to my wallet, and get 7 Trolls as stakes a few times an hour, sometimes it skips  a few hours, but all depends on your depositis to your wallet.

Even more simple: Keep it online and you will get more TROLLS!

Spencer most likely can tell how it works exactly, or dig into the source!

Been telling my friends about the new Troll, especially sPoS, it's so much easier to sell the idea of downloading a wallet, getting some coins & earning interest than the 15 additional steps to start mining.

With that said, I'll be transferring the majority of my holdings into cold wallets over the next few weeks to encourage staking.

With coin age which PoSv2 used, there are greedy honest nodes.

These are nodes that have no malicious intent but they keep their coins off the network and only stake every once in a while to get their stake reward.

The PoSv2 system actually encourages abusive behaviour of these nodes by keeping their node offline until it accumulates enough coin age to get the reward in a short period of time and then shut down the node again.

To avoid these greedy honest nodes, coin age has been removed from the equation and a Static PoS Reward has been implemented. This is 7 TROLL.

The total reward depends on the number of UTXOs (Unspent Transaction Outputs).

In general, the more UTXOs one has, the more reward one can get, since the relative weight consumption is small. On the other hand, there is an upper limit which depends on the total balance and the convergence to that limit is fast. So one doesn’t have to create many unnecessary UTXOs and overload the staking device.

The change is beneficial for those supporting the blockchain through continual running of the client and staking, and bad for greedy honest nodes that retain millions of coins, who could previously receive rewards of 1000’s of DarkSilk for minutes of staking and then going offline.

The staking reward will be time dependent. The more time you stake, the higher the total reward. The expected reward will be will proportional to the total balance and the time of staking.

So I've got about 250 million trolls still in my old wallet (v1.2.0.0-unk-Full) that I'd like to convert. Is the old chain still active for me to transfer them to Bleutrade?

Yeah, we are supporting the old chain until the 31st but nodes are slipping, do it ASAP! First update your old wallet to v1.5 via the op in this thread. Then send to Bleutrade & you'll be able to swap via links on you account balances page.

Use the addnodes in the previous posts on this page if you can't get a connection.
