Is the price of ethereum dependent on bitcoin?

i think price of ehtereum is depend on the trade market down or up!! bitcoin have big down and big crash !! ethereum not so down!! its depend on the sales or trade of the price of ethereum!! thats what i thinking!!

So far the answer to that question is still YES. They practically always rise and fall at the same time. The only differences are the percentage points of the movement one can be far greater than the others. I would expect in another year or two that they will move more independently.

most altcoin including ethereum indeed bound by the bitcoin. Basically when bitcoin ride or down then the altcoin will also follow suit. so sure though want to altcoin up, be it the bitcoin however ethereum down then the increase will not have a big effect because it is clouded by the magnitude of the bitcoin.

I have always been amazed at which other coins responds to either rise or dip in the price of Bitcoin. I came a conclusion that in as much Bitcoin is widely know and used, even on exchanges, then it's actually playing a significant role in the determining the changes that happens to other coins prices.

This is 100% true if you observe coinmarketcap chart daily it would be clarified to you that when BTC goes up the same attitude is exhibited by other coins and vise versa.Ocassionally it happens that BTC & ETH goes opposite.I can conclude that entire crypto market price is dependent upon BTC.

personally, I think if bitcoin is the embodiment of cryptocurrency so every time the BTC price change it pulls almost everything else after that.
so do not be surprised if the price of every altcoin depends on BTC and will continue that way until the market is stable and regulated.

Ethereum or most other coins are not dependent upon bitcoin as such. However, Bitcoin is the leader of cryptos so the entire sector rises or falls with it generally.

Not only the prices of ETH, but also that of almost all the other crypt-coins are either directly or indirectly dependent on Bitcoin. For many of the coins, the currency trading pair with fiat is not even available and the only option is to trade them with BTC.

I really think its the investors really depend on the price and market situation of bitcoin, technically all altcoins are depending on bitcoin because people think about it. But if we look at their own technology they all have difference, well bitcoin really rules the market and because of this the market will continue to grow.

I think that Ethereum price is not dependent on Ethereum even I know and I've heard if Ethereum price go up bitcoin price will decrease and vice versa if Bitcoin price rise Ethereum price will decrease and as it is now when Bitcoin price will return to its peak Ethereum  price experienced a decline

I think the price of ETH is related to the BTC.
