In my opinion, no, the current BTC price is separate from the ETH, while the BTC is increased to the ETH, which indicates that the ETH price is no longer dependent on the BTC.
I think ethereum always follow the movement of bitcoin prices, when the market price of bitcoin drops then ethereum also decreased in price. so bitcoin is the parent of all altcoin. |

Yes i agree with you but its not just likited to ethereum, actually all balues of altcoins is dependent on the situation bitcoin is on. Everything that will happen to bitcoin will happen to the altcoins too. |

I think not just ETH which follow BTC price, it's because BTC is the coin that dominance crypto market. But few days ago BTC pump and only few alt that pump to. And even ETH doesn't pump when BTC pump. Idk what happen, but it proven that ETH price will not always follow BTC.

As we know that Bitcoin can be regarded as the king of digital coins, so if the bitcoin price goes down / up it could affect other coins including Ethereum coins as well. We can see in last month's incident when bitcoin prices dropped, affecting the price of other coins (including Ethereum) to fall down. I think yes, it also affects the price of ethereum when bitcoin price is down. This is absolutely right thinking. And i also think same and the main reason behind this is that all coins follow the footsteps of Bitcoin. So that's why Ethereum price and all other altcoins price is depend on Bitcoin. If Bitcoin grows then all coins grow and if it downwards then all coins are down.
