How does one go about actually receiving gox-btc in this transaction?

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Simple. Just "withdraw" BTC to another Gox wallet address. It works instantly. Just dont select "open transaction".

Thinking of selling mine... just use bitcoin withdrawal and unclick "open transaction", transfer will be facilitated off the block-chain(route through internal system), be on your own risks on counterparty risks though. |

I have very little left on there - I will wait for a little better, Risto - I don't mind riding it out if I have to. My last 'exit' transaction was kindly put back in my account by Gox, so it's just the crumbs. Best regards of course. |

Thanks, and we are taking various levels of risk at all times in Bitcoin, with Gox it's a balance between leaving it in and getting it out. I think it won't collapse, but I also think it will be a while until it sorts itself out. I would put (immediate) collapse risk at around 10-15%, but short term 'total fix' at only 40%, if withdrawals of BTC are functioning on Monday, I will be goxsmacked. |
