Hey fellas,

I have kind of a dumb question, since I didn't follow the forum thread. What is meant when someone is offering GoxBTC @75%. I mean 75% of what?

Edit: Got it Wink But I do not understand why someone would trade 75 free BTC for 100 GoxBTC, when the Gox rate is 50% below other exchanges!? I am offering hereby to buy at 40%. That seems a bit more realistic to me.

Nice to see you pop your head into this thread Smiley

If you don't mind sharing, what do you think is the fair price for goxBTC right now?

It is a little bit hard to say, because in my understanding, Mt.Gox today admitted that they don't have all the bitcoins, and that they are selectively giving them away. So it depends on your preferential treatment level there. Mine is understandably very low, so I would not buy them.

I do not understand why bitcoinbuilder charges 70% for Gox BTC when the market rate is around 40-45%

Are they making a huge margin?

It's an exchange, bitcoinbuilder isn't buying/selling anything. If you only want to pay 45%, then put in your bid at 45% and see if anyone ever sells that low. As the volume there keeps going higher and higher, around 70% has been the "market" rate.

Edit: Heck if you scroll up about 8 posts before yours, someone just offered to buy at 65%-70%.

I'm a bit late. Guess all the Gox coins are gone.

Plenty of people are selling through bitcoinbuilder. As volume increase, price has been getting steady around 70%. With lighter volumes before it would range from 45%-85%.

This is the ultimate bag-holder, hot patato thread, epic panic/greed unfolding before my eyes, so fun.

I look at it this way, the ONLY reason 200 dollar coins were for sale on gox is because the owner paid 10 cents for them.

NO !!..even then he would sell them at stamp !!  those 200 dollar coins came for free or are not exactly belonging to

him...ya know what amsaing  Wink

I dont think Gox is letting anyone transfer outside of their exchange.  Intra transfers are on and off.

So everyone dreams of finally getting them released so they can send elsewhere and get a better market price.

Theory 1:

Gox fup and coins missing and they dont have enough to cover account holders.

At least they are keeping intra exchange trading so maybe it is easier to track down the missing coins later.

Thats probably what they are doing now, in addition to fixing the software issues.
