No, ETH will never pass Bitcoin as it is treated as a currency while ETH is treated like a paper (smart contract).
In early days of the world, a piece of paper in which a contract was written was expensive for common folks. Now? A paper is too cheap as you can see and buy it everywhere, just like what will happen on ETH. On the other hand, tokens that exist above it might be.

It does not matter how many bitcoins competitors will have, Bitcoin will always be the main crypto currency. All tokens will follow the bitcoin and develop simultaneously with it.

Ethereum had the ability to be the number one crypto in the market. But i think 2019 in not yet the year of ethereum. It will take a little bit more time before it will pass bitcoin.

I don't think so. Bitcoin will be the no.1 crypto in the market for a long period of time. As you see the market. Everytime bitcoin fall all crypto drop their value as well. So i think no crypto will pass bitcoin.

Ethereum for me is the best coin right now, because Ethereum got lot of projects, smart contracts specially. There are many using Ethereum now most are ICO. I believe that ETH will surpass Bitcoin soon, but not in 2019. |

It will still a big question in 2019 i suppose since ETH is being used in almost altcoins as a platform of trading different tokens that are compatible with ERC20. Some may say it's good because maybe it is ranked as second in coinmarketcap but i guess it will stay at the second rank always IMO. |

I just agree that ETH will have chance to pass Bitcoin in the future but I don't think it can be fast like that  . I don't think in 2019 ETH price can higher than BTC price . At the moment, price of BTC is higher than ETH price more than 10 times and it's a really big problem for ETH to be able to pass Bitcoin in the future  |

It is unlikely that ETH will not be able to overcome the BTC price in 2019, as the exchange rate difference is quite low compared to the BTC, although ETH is preferable.

When price of ethereum grows above certain value the market capital might grow high. Overcoming the price of bitcoin won't take place, as the market of ethereum too has a dependence on bitcoin. Ethereum can be seen more stronger than ever as more and more ico were upon ethereum platform.

I don't think such event will happen in crypto knowing that the entire crypto market are still depending on bitcoin price. Ethereum price is totally far from btc and don't see any indications that ethereum will go that fast reaching bitcoin. Bitcoin still on the top and no other altcoins could take that crown. |

It is not likely to happen in 2019 or any other year since Bitcoin is going to remain the top leader coin of cryptos. Ethereum is already the second ranked coin so that is excellent already.

this is my opinion bro, do you think crypto will hve high price only because tech of it ? no, the another critical factor is people behind it, it could be investor or privat group, who make it worth, i know an alt wich have good tech out there but price is screwed, you know why  cause team behind it cant present it well |

I think it's not easy for ethereum to surpass btc in next 2-3 years but ethereum also has big potential to rise because daily lots of new coin launching using Ecr20 support wallet. Btc is the king of the market and very strong at the moment as compare to the ethereum. Rest all depends on ethereum dev how they approach for future development of ethereum.
