From my opinion no alternative coin can pass the value of bitcoin not in 2019 not never. But I believe the price of eth is relative to btc the higher the value of bitcoin the more effect it will have on the value of eth.. Likewise if the market is experiencing a dip.

For me I won't be that cocky that there won't be any coin that would surpass BTC in value. What I know is that Bitcoin has the most investment in the space, the level of investment in BTC related businesses is huge running to Billions. So for any coin to surpass BTC, it needs to offer something better than we have now, and we need years to prove that. 2019 IMO is a short time |

to my opinion, never it will happen that ETH will surpass BTC in 2019 and even in the future because they are 2 different type of platform, with distinctive purposes, btc supply is always limited with 21 million token, but ETH is unlimited, that has made the value of a ETH token can never be as much as a BTC token, however it is possible if total market value of ETH can surpass BTC in the future when BTC gets weak.

I agree with this. ETH wouldn't surpassed BTC in the future because they are two different coins and the total supply between these two are really far different and it doesn't make sense to compare this two altcoin. Even tho in terms of the volume ETH would beat BTC in the future, but it's not the case. |

I do not believe in that. It seems to me that Eth will always remain in second place after bitcoin. In addition, Bitcoin is a very strong project and not one altcoin will not be able to overtake it.

The only thing that can help Bitcoin regain its former strength is its real use as a means of payment. but the society is not ready for this and in the near future the ETH will bypass the BTC anyway. |

As much as I admire the the innovations of the ETH project, I still recognize the huge difference between bitcoin and ethereum. It is possible for ETH to surpass BTC in the future but definitely not 2018 and not next year. BTC retains a huge part of the market and that is the reality. |

Ethereum passing bitcoin by 2019? Simple answer is it won't happen. Ethereum has more coins than bitcoin and it's market cap is lower than it. The price of bitcoin is higher than the rest and it's supply is lower than ETH so don't think again that there will be time ETH will surpass bitcoin. True, the reason ethereum is so valuable is because of the many icos appearing on its platform that made to create your own ico easier, but now there are many coins competing with ethereum and this means many coins will now appear in those platforms so the growth of ethereum is going to be slower while bitcoin in the other hand does not depend at all of other coins. |

I think in 2019 Bitcoin will remain the king, the quality of Bitcoin is very good and become the main coin in the world of crypto so its position is very strong, Bitcoin price is also quite high so very difficult to beat in the near future.

I'm not thinking ethereum or other any coins like bcc can pass bitcion price anytime, they are just altcoin and will be like this everytime. If something can be discover new, maybe new system can pass it.

It's difficult for Ethereum to pass Bitcoin in 2019. Because as we know that the price of Bitcoin is so far away at the price of Ethereum and it's very difficult to pass it. Although Ethereum has more interesting technology but Bitcoin's adoption and sale will continue to be bigger than Ethereum. Even if it happens this will take a very long time, but I am not sure about this. Maybe as an alternative it's possible but to pass Bitcoin I'm not sure Ethereum can do that.

Bitcoin will always be king and no one can be compared to Bitcoin in the future. I think this market is very dependent on Bitcoin because if Bitcoin increases, then the whole market will always be blue and vice versa. Of course in the next few years many of the coins will be Bitcoin's competitors, but Bitcoin will always be the leader in Cryptocurrency. |
